Why is it great deals like this come up when I have NO MONEY!!
Is there any chance another deal like this could be repeated in a couple of months perhaps?
Ok new problemo, do I need any sort of gaskett to fit the pipe as it doesnt seem like a very good idea to bolt the metal to metal, surely itll blow and rattle like hell?
Havent got a digi camera mate, its just a peice of pipe found laying around with the correct fitments welded to it either end.
I didnt make it. Didnt cost me anything either!
Think youll find the AA dont u/w insurance, they are basically broker that tries to get you the best quote. Believe Norwich Union are the same
I phoned the other day to see what the difference was between my 16v and an RS Turbo and they said that the current insurer wouldnt do it but they...
Car insurance companies must make a mint out of the honest section of this country.
I believe the reason that premiums are rising is cause the amount of un-insured drivers out there. If they crash in to you then you have to claim from your own insurance in the first instance. Then its up to...
Clios are about as good as a chocolate kettle in an accident. Some one I know was in a Willy that went in to a tree at relativly low speed. (30-40ish)
Took the fire bregade a few hours to cut the car to peices to get him out. Think he broke everything and everything next to it!
Doesnt help...
My clutch went on the valva the other day, totally smashed it.
It lasted 1 year, 3 weeks and approx 6,000 miles. Total crap!!
I do hammer it a bit, though I never wheels spin cause I cant afford new tyres!!
I had an Escort 1.8i 16v Ghia for my first car (well shared with me dad)
Took exactly 6 weeks from when I passed my test to when I smashed over a roundabout and nearly through a fence. Took em 8 weeks to fix it. It was too fast for me at 17 and thats no where near as quick as my valva!
Also...
Putting a de-cat on at the weekend, got a s/s backbox and a piper-x airfilter. Will this be very loud or VERY LOUD.
Been told the car sounds like an airplane taking off as it is.
You got a valver for £300 quid?
I just paid £293.50 for a clutch for a valver?
Also doubt very very much youll get insured on one till your at least 18 and have some no claims to your name.
Im 23 in a couple of months - had it a year.
I pay £900 tpft with 1 years no claims and no mention of the wheels, suspension, zorts and 2k install!!
I told em about the alarm though ;)
Are caps any good?
I got a 12" 600w Eclipse sub and a 2x340w Pro-Plus amp, thinking of a cap but I dont know any one with any experience with them?
Does it just ensure that you keep a steady flow of power to the sub when the bass drops?
What sort of cap would be good with that combo ?
Most people go for co-axials to save time and money. They have the tweeter built in to the centre of the mid cone. Theyre ok if you got about £50 budget.
But if you got a bit more cash and patience get some nice Comps, I have Magnats in mine and they sound much better.
I was lazy and got a...
BB charge in the region of £5k for the low pressure turbo conversion including fitting and VAT etc. This is good for 200bhp.
Its £7,400(ish) for the high pressure one. Easily 250bhp pushing 300bhp if you have extras.
If I remember the book I have Ill bring it work tomorrow and give you an...
Has any one got actual details of companys that sell and fit chips?
Ive spoken to BB and Hill Power but is there any one else??
Preferably in South East for my benefit but Im sure others will be keen to know.
I have been told they go in easier than GTT engines.
Few years a go I blew up an RT and said to the RAC mechanic that I might stick a GTT lump in and he recomended I go for the Volvo lump instead.
Thought I was gonna have loads of money to get some thing cool done or may be another car but as luck would have it, I havent!
Reckon I might be able to muster some money together to get a de-cat and chip done with possibly a boost vavle.
Any one reckon this will help - I reckon it could...
I just think with the clio being a small car and generally younger drivers, a turbo would go down excellent.
I think alot of people were dissapointed that Reanult replaced the R5 gtt with a n/a engined Clio. (good in standard but hard to tune)
I own a valver but am VERY fed up with how...
Come to think of it, arent the Rsis all phase 3s?
If thats the case then the bumpers are totally different, phase 3s have the grille built in to the bumper and are much more rounder and smoother.
(Valvers the best any way)
I think the valver has a deeper design compared to the Rsi
Mine has the recess where the fogs are, then another recess next to them then the centre cut out section under the number plate.
