Ididit.com - New Clio badge fitted

Thanks for the comments guys. It is straight as a die as I positioned it using masking tape and a spirit level. I'm still undecided. It grown on me when I see it on the car but when I see the picture, i'm not sure.

Ididit.com - New Clio badge fitted

Not sure I have done the right thing but it's only cost me £4.50. Thoughts? The holes left by the original badge are 7mm across and 85mm apart centre to centre.

^^^Looks like a mince wagon in comparison, although it's much more to my taste.

    Rear brake disc problem?

I cannot see the bearings costing £50 although I may well be wrong. A industrial press will be required for the fitment of the bearings though. I managed to split an industrial vice, as used for train repairs straight down the middle when fitting a bearing to my Chavalier strut.

    Much difference between a 2.25 exhaust and a 2.5?

I was under the impression that 2.5'' was the optimium although that is only a generalisation. But being a mindless cretin, what would I know.

    172 replica's

Are they 14's? Rear bumper and skirts are too deep but very evil looking.

    Engine bay bling: Your opinions

Stainless/Polished. Much better resale potential IMO due to factoy look.

    172 replica's

IMO, the run out Campus should have had an RS look-a-like option, as Seat did with the Leon Cupra R becoming the run out FR.

    Engine conversions,whos best?

Reyland.co.uk. They have the fastest Escort Cos' in the world IIRC. 0-60 in 2.88, 1/4 in 10.66 and max @ 194.7. They have also built a Cossie E36 coupe a MGF engined and suspended Rover 100 and were building a Cossie engined Rover 200 but I think that got scrapped.

That is fantastic. Any chance of a high res' as i wouldn't mind blowing it up and having it put on a canvas for my girlfriend.

My clio and a mates Ignis Sport

14'' Turinis? Splumphh. The Ignis is a horrible looking car but they are supposed to perform very well for what they are. Clio looks very well. I personally would prefer the wheel centres in silver but i'm being pedantic.

How wrong but how right - 3 door Leon Cupra R (Coupe)

I was under the impression that they were built (maybe in limited in numbers) for the Spanish market and maybe others.

    172 replica's

The fact is, we are all here because we enjoy our cars (mainly Clios') and the majority of us enjoy spending, or should I say wasting money on our cars. Wether we fit a 172 kit to a 1.2 or fit coilies, uprated brakes and 'bodies to a 172, we are all spending the cash which we won't recoup at...

    197 engine bay

How wrong but how right - 3 door Leon Cupra R (Coupe)

Check this sh!t. I remember reading about them years ago and I had a few pic's but I've just found this: Taken from here: http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=seat+leon+coupe&ndsp=18&svnum=10&um=1&hl=en&start=0&sa=N Not sure it ever made production.

What should I be paying on insurance for modded 172 @ 24?

My renewal is due soon on my 172. I currently pay £697 with Flux but have been paying annually at £67 PM which equates to £802 annualy and approximately 15% interest. I have listed the mods below, 1 or 2 aren't listed on my current policy as I intend to carry them out in the near future but...

custom exaust on 172 cup, question

2.25'' pipework is the optimum on a standard/mildy tuned engine IIRC so any increase in back pressure would be beneficial.

My Flame red cleaned and new bits!!

Looks great matey. What suspension? What was the issue with the brake lines in the end?
