I was told that if you try and twist the belt in the middle of its longest part (longest distance between two pulleys, think along the bottom) you should be able to twist it approx 90 degrees. That's how I do it on my cup and it works fine.

I see that makes sense, so the intake system is actually sealed, but not in the way I was thinking. I guess it is a bit easier to get a good air tight seal that way as well.

MPG = average between 30 - 33 realistically with mixed driving. I do 60 mile round trip to work, mostly motorway ant 80ish. Although if you are a bit more careful that will go up. On a motorway blast at 70 you could push for 40 i think. Tyres = you don't have to go for the most expensive...
