They have only just admitted. They will be picking it up but I am not sure they will repair the oil problem as its not a direct result of the accident I don't think? I'm not sure how it works. The oil light may have come on because it has been sitting around for a month which is only because...
I have. been looking through some other threads and in one of them FRED mentions that it can come on if your pads are very worn? Well I think my back brakes are stuck on as its been sat on the drive for so long. Could this be the issue? I am going to get under and try and release the brakes...
How can I check if the pump is working? I don't want to spend anything on it until it has been assessed by the insurance company, if its written off I don't want to have spent money on it unnecessary?
Following on from a crash I had at the begining of december http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?548646-Had-a-crash/page2&highlight=crash
the 3rd party have admitted full responsibility and the car is off to be repaired.
However...
It has been sat on the drive since a couple of...
Re: T5MY G's saxo vtr - Recaro pole positions/b8's/carbon/saxsport/stripped!
This new business venture sounds very interesting. I will def be over with my car in the new year (if its back on the road). Needs a lot doing and if I can drop it off at the weekends and leave it with you that would...
I have got 2 trolley jacks so that is a possibility, but I need to be able to put the jacks in under the front of the car as the garage is too narrow to get down the side of the car and jack it.
Pretty good explanation here. Hope it helps.

Does anyone know if I can jack the front up from a central point, from the front of the car? Possibly somewhere on the sub - frame?
Where on the sub frame do yop put...
Dragging up and old thread but I have another jacking question.
My car has been damaged and I need to get under it to look at / fix some stuff. Because of the snow I need to do it in the garage, but its too narrow to jack it up in the usual way. Does anyone know a way I can jack the car up...
Sorry to bump this so soon, but any ideas. Needs to get it sorted asap!
Only other thing I can think of was it was in a crash last week, front nearside panel was only bit hit, thinking it might have damaged something. Had a good look under the bonnet but I am crap with electrical stuff so f**k...
Have had a search and not really found an answer.
On the motorway (in the dark) And suddenly the dash lights went out. Made the drive home interesting. So checked the fuses and its the left side light that has fused.
Replaced fuse and all was well until I cranked the engine and it went...
I see, thanks for the info. Well as I have said, he failed to give way but it will be hard to prove because of the way we collided. I have been really depressed about it all day, plus not being able to sort the tracking has got me really pissed off. Going to take it to someone else after work...
It was on a round about, but he pulled out in front of me, think that's the only thing going for me! I hope he has said he pulled out onto the round about. If he has then surely that proves it. He doesn't need to say any more than that, him pulling out makes it his fault!
Does anyone know...
Yeah, we both stopped and exchanged details. He was a nice enough guy. He didn't seem to shocked by it all though? Not as much as me, I was shacking loads!
No one stopped as a witness, which is a shame as it would have made it easier to prove it all.
Tbh honest I am very confused by all...
No i think it means his company pays for his repairs and my insurance pay for mine, but if this is the case then I won't claim for mine and will repair it myself. I have been thinking about turning into a track car and buying something else to use as the commuter, so the cosmetics don't have to...
Yeah its a cup, need to wait til next month before I start spending money tho, xmas presents have cost me a fortune, my gf is getting a new KA for xmas!!!
Problem is I haven't got pics to prove it and no skid marks visible, but he admitted where he had come from and was going to, which...
That's so s**t. My excess is only 500 (still a lot). I am just going to let it be for a while and see what his insurance come up with. I don't really want to have to pay out.
DOes anyone know what I could pick up a used wing for from a car that is being broken? and how hard are they to replace?
I remember your thread, BG van wasn't it? Its so frustrating. I am very happy with my insurance so far tho, very helpful and positive, which doesn't mean s**t but makes you feel better, plus Brentarce hace been really helpful as well (my broker)
That doesn't seem right, surely if you pull out in front of someone and they run into the side of you then it is your fault for pulling out?
Yeah, that's the plan. TBH for know the cosmetics can stay as, get wheel checked and geo re-done and it will be good to go. What I meant by the...
Thats what I thought but my insurance seemed pretty sure that if it goes 50:50 then I don't have to claim for my 50, so no excess needs to be paid and also no claim so to lose of NCB. I'm not sure I think thats correct and tend to agree with you. I was also told that I will only loose 2 years...
:(
Driving home from work, going round a large round about and a chap in a fiesta pulls out in front of me.
On the brakes hard and realised there was no stopping in time, so avoiding action taken in the hope that he would do the same, but he didn't he just carried on like I wasn't coming...
Front bumper looks a bit out of line, could just be me tho! I would wanna see pics of the damage but I dont imagine is hard to CAT D one of these as repairs must be costly!
I wouldn't worry, -16 is very low and probably below what the oil that is specced for the Uk is designed to be used in. Don't force it and as said before if you know its a very cold day, start her up and let it warm up for a while then take it easy on the car for the first part of the journey...
In my opinion I wouldn't go for the 1.6, my mate had one and his fuel consumption wasn't much better than mine in the cup. Admittedly it was fairly nippy but if you wanna stay with a petrol car then keep what you have got, save your money and then get a sport when you can afford it. I got one...
