It specifies 98 ron with the sticker on the fuel cap. If the manufacturer states it then a good reason is behind it.
Always used V-power. Don't trust Tesco in terms of petrol additives. Although I'm not keen on V-Power's price the engine requires a higher octane, so must have it.
Second that. Excellent induction roar on my M R 2 2.0 GTi. Even better on my Integra Type-R.
Didn't notice so much of loss of performance on the M R 2, but noticeable on the Integra.
Wouldn't use an open filter again unless propper shrouding and bonnet vent.
Temporary. Apparently no more than 30 miles says the Renault can.
It's hit and miss to whether they work well or not. Depends on the puncture itself. One time it worked for me the other time it didn't.
Carry a spare wheel with tyre or tyre on it's own and have a mobile tyre fitting service...
I bought my 182 Cup back in June. Within two months two tyres had punctured.
The tyre weld worked o.k. on one, not the other.
For piece of mind either invest in a spare wheel with tyre fitted or carry round a spare tyre. Mobile tyre units fit em' in minutes, but man handle the wheel. Dents...
Thank you Rich, much appreciated as always.:)
Duragloss Wash eh? Simple straightforward application and washing as with most other shampoos?
Greater shine than the Gold Class shampoo?
The bottle of Meguiars Gold Class shampoo is begining to run out. Very pleased with the results of it though, unlike the Gold Class wax that came with it.
So another bottle of shampoo is required. Nothing outrageously expensive but with the pleasing results of the Gold Class.
Or perhaps...
Hmmm....mixed opinions. Keep em' coming. Gathering as much info as I can.
Thanks for all your replies so far.:)
Anybody else care to comment/experiance of using 17" rims as opposed to 16"?
Just bought a pair of Snap On seat covers for my 182 Cup.
Had an issue with other seat covers as they're just too tight across the bolsters. Had heard on here that Snap on items are larger and fit much better.
Received them and fitted about a week ago. To say they're larger is an...
19 mpg is way too low. I'm averaging 26 mpg round town (no mods fitted) 41 mpg easy drive on motorway.
I don't like the smell of fuel you say you're getting. Overfueling perhaps. Seek advice, contact a speacialist.
May I ask what tyres you're using?
You'd say hardly any difference between characterstics of the previously used 16" rims to that of the 17's your using now?
Quite a few mixed opinions here. Thinking about a set of 17" rims myself.
Really would like to try before you buy but that aint gonna happen.Don't wanna buy and be disappointed.
Thanks, kinda suspected there wasn't a huge difference in weight. Just need to deffinately know about handling characterstics before/if I take the plunge.
Just feel that should I purchase a set of multispokes, 17" s do look alot better as in your photo. :)
Some real mixed opinions on here as to whether or not pro's out weigh the con's. Money isn't an issue, tyres the larger wheels etc, just don't wanna make a mistake.
Performance all the way!:)
Just thought 17" wheels would only affect performance slightly?
Disastrous characteristics once 17" rims are fitted? If so what's to be expected?
Unsure as such, perhaps a multispoke variation in white.
So to change to 17" rims on a 182/172 is definatley not a good idea. Doesn't seem to matter as much for other cars. Particualry something to do with the Clio and how the suspension is set?
Thinking about buying a set of 17" wheels for a 182 Cup.
Question is, will these terribly affect the handling. If so just how bad and how noticeable?
All replies appreciated.
Thank you.:)
I doubt the rotating weight weight would be that much of a disadvantage since it'd would hardly be noticed. 284mm up to 300 mm isn't really that much of an increase.
As for 4 piston calipers in general, the outcome I'm sure is better all round regardless of track usage. The urgency and braking...
1. Fit the BTB exhaust and cat replacement or high flow cat.
2. Possibly 17" wheels.
3. Front big brake kit
4. ITG Maxogen.
5. Inlet matching.
6. Stage one cam kit.
7. Re map via new ecu.
8. Coilover suspension.
9. Strut braces.
10. Uprated anti roll bars if available.
11. Power flex bushes all...
