Yeah i always go for the biggest excess, as the amount you save over the years normallly would make up for what you would have to pay out in the event of a knock. And if you dont get that knock then your squids in :D

Personally i aint impressed with the spec on the JL 8W7, except of their very large excusion lenght. But you can get a perfectly exceptable bass responce from a 8", can from a 6.5" as well just needs a very good cab design. My views any way

It all depends what is behind those seats, if theres a box then it is a boot install! If hes using the boot as the box i doubt it would be sounding that great.

ERrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr this is a stupid idea very very impractical.

You only get a 3dB increase by runnning two identical subs, think you would be better off getting a 3dB more sensitive subwoofer in the first place or double the power going to the single sub (if it can take it). Also a properly vented box can have a 3dB gain over the same sized sealed box...
