I'm looking at a 192 thanks to my OEM blowing last week. Just looking for a good fitter in South Yorkshire, as the place I used to use has really gone downhill.
Sad face, exhaust has blown behind the cat, so it's time for a Scorpion 192 or similar. Car is currently parked up at work in Sheffield, so can anyone recommend a good exhaust spot in South Yorkshire, or within a reasonable drive at least? Ideally somewhere that stocks or would fit a Scorpion...
I've had a test in the non cup 200 and it does seem nicer than the 197, but still not quite up to the Trophy on overall oomph.
It is an awful lot of extra ££ though..
Why? I've got a three layer lumbar fusion with 3 cages plus the associated Meccano and find the Recaros in my Trophy comfier than pretty much any seats (outside of totally immobilising Sparcos.)
So yes, Recaros ftw.
Ta - I'm a chimp when it comes to anything like this. Ironically I used to do all manner of stuff with the old GTI and Escort, but I've just got well out of practise. Doesn't look to be much room 80
Couldn't find anything on search, is there a f**kwit's guide to changing bulbs, preferably with pics?
I'll be looking at dipped and main beams (no point upgrading side lights) Phillips foolish bright, obviously.
Hands aren't those of a three year old, will it be struggle?
<edit> Trophy btw...
The missus says it'll T-cut out.
<edit>
Does suck when stuff like that happens. My missus had her mint Mk II 16v GTI pinched while we were on hols a couple of years back. Sucks to lose a nice car through no fault of your own.
I've not done a GPS timed run, but a handy bit of road near me facilitates occasional legal foolishness, and that sounds about right. Only one gear change which makes a big difference compared to the Willie.
Thanks, I'll give the stealers a shot and RS too today.
If anyone has any good recommendations in Manc', my folks live over there, so I can always stretch to popping over there.
Cheers
Evenin' all,
Living in great fear of having to replair/replace a Sachs damper, I'm looking at the 2 year warranty extension thorugh Renault. Has anyone else gone for it and had good or bad times as a result?
It's also the time for the evil 36k service. Any particularly good/bad experiences...
If I keep to 65-70 I can get happy joy 40-45, especially if I avoid battering along.
If I keep to more typical motorway speed, I get about 36 or so. Proper thrashing drops off further.
Drops lower with crap 95 RON obv.
Johnnies 97 or Tesco 99. Actually cheaper to use too, better mpg means it actually costs less. Ignore all this tat about only turbo engines benefiting. Any car with an adaptive ecu and any degree of tune will see some benefit. Forget anything out of a 1.6 Focus, but any Renaultsport will see...
