I know there's plenty of threads on aux belts but cant see any that mention time. Just booked mine in to get it changed as i'm getting a squealing noise every now and then. They reckon £8+VAT for belt, and half hour labour (£14+VAT) but warned it may be an hour's job. Can it be changed...

Was driving along yesterday and my backbox fell off on my 172! I had to take it off the bracket as it was dragging down the road as the joint between the box and the midsection had basically rotted through. Will this be covered under the Renault warranty or is it classed as "wear and tear"?

Have a 53 Reg (Jan 04) 172. Any advice on the best tyres to get hold of, for the fronts, have 195/45/16s (Continental) on there at the mo, can i go any wider on standard alloys? Cheers

Had the stop light and handbrake light both come on together a couple of times tonight, both seemed to be when i was going round a left hand bend - any ideas?

Would you expect a 172 to thrash the FR150 or pretty close? Ibiza is a 1.8 150bhp i think, but on paper not a lot to 60, after that- not sure?

base forwards/backwards is expected, but i dont think it should reset the angle, surely it should go back to whatever i have it set at

Did the following to the passenger seat... -Set the angle back using the inside lever. -Lifted the handle on the back to lean/slide the seat to allow access to the back seat. -When the seat is clicked back it returns to an upright position angle, rather than the angle it was set as using...
