Cheers for all the advice. I'll have the door card off this weekend. Is it just the screws at the bottom and the one near the handle? Looks like a call to GSF too.
I wound my window up a moment ago when something inside went bang and now it's a bit loose and won't go up, only down. I can still here the motor moving so that should be ok. Its a Ph1 172. I'm gonna take the door apart at the weekend to fix it, but does anyone know what part is likely to have...
I'm based in Bristol. I'd rather fit new TBH. The only really fiddly bit looked to be the aircon rad in front of it. It's an X-reg 172. It looks like I can take the front bumper and grille off, the undertray off and the air ducting and should be able to get to all the hoses easily then, I was...
Please forgive a relative newbie for a silly question, but my radiator has gone and I need to replace it. Renault are asking £115inc VAT for a new one which seems like a good price. Does anyone know of somewhere better to source one, preferably online/telephone order or in the South West...
If you've liked previous incarnations of Zelda then you will love this one. It's a fantastic game and really worth getting stuck into. I've tried a few others which have been crap though. Sonic and Excite Trucks both promised a lot and they were both sh!te.
I got mine from a local Argos Extra. It was the only place in the area that had any at the time, and it sold the 27 it got in, in 2 hours that day. Just keep checking their website for stock at random points through the day and maybe you'll get lucky like I did. :)

Thanks for looking Drift King. The fuses are fine. I'll just see if I can tweak it up a bit to match the other. It's not like I use the adjustment wheel on the dash anyway. :)
I couldn't find a Haynes manual that covered the Ph1 172? I found a book for the Mk2 but it only went upto the 1.6 16V. I supose most of the ancillaries might be the same but I begrudged parting with £15 for a book that didn't actually cover my car.
My driver's side headlight seems to be angled a lot lower than the passenger one on my Ph1 172. Is there any way of adjusting them independently? Or is it likely that the electrical connection to it has broken so it is sat at the lowest position whilst the other is set correctly?
Any advice...
Ah, RiceRocket! Haven't seen you on FCCUK for a while. :) For those that don't know, I'm a moderator on there, but following a run-in with a shop front in my Fiat Coupé 20VT I've bought a Clio 172 and now frequent here to. RiceRocket is a trusted seller on our forum and has been for some time. I...
Does anybody know where I can source a pair of these other than Renault. Places, part numbers and prices would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brewster :)
The handbook actually says that 95RON is acceptable in a 172 and 92RON (regular not premium unleaded) is ok for smaller engined Clios. That said, you can't buy regular over here as all cars are set to run on 95RON+ for emmision regulations. :)
I use V-Power in my 172. I don't know if it makes any difference as I've only had it 2 weeks, but I always ran my previous turbo on V-Power so I don't notice the price, it just goes in. On the Fiat it *really* did make a difference to power, if not economy, and I'd like to think the clever...
The Auto-Glym is good gear, but don't use too much. 2 capfuls to a bucket seems to be about right for me. More than that and you end up with streaks before you get to hose it down. The SRP is far better than the Meguiars 3 step system IMHO. Meguiars needs far more elbow grease and twice as long...
Hmm, I was assuming there was something seriously fubared with my suspension as when I go over smallish bumps the back end readily 'bounces' out one or two times. It was especially scary on a stretch of that concrete motorway. Almost fighting with it to hold a line! Seems fine on smooth tarmac...
Having had mine for nearly a fortnight now and not being happy with the wobbly back end over bumpy ground I'm looking at spend £600ish on a full shocks and springs kit for it. I'd also like to get hold of new bushes all round in that price too if possible to tighten everything up a bit. I'm not...
Ah! Cheers for that. I only picked it up on Monday and haven't had chance to use my Tom-Hom(o) in it yet. It did cross my mind that it could be that, but I assumed that Shat-nav wasn't prolific enough 6-7 years ago to warrant it! :)
......have a rectangular 'hole' in the middle at the bottom on my Ph1 172? You'll forgive a Newbie a silly question, which I'm sure has been asked before, but using the search got me nowhere. So what's it all about?
Cheers :)
