Hi, my clio is long sold but I found some unused tie rods at the back of the shed. There are three in total, I think one is for a 172 cup, and two are a matching pair I think from when I fitted a manual rack from a 1.2/1.4/1.6 I can't move the ends by hand so they should be good. Just looking...
yep it's the duratec. 1.3.
what's the general connection model for the coil pack? i've gone and found too much information on the net. the firing order is either 1,2,4,3 or 1,3,4,2.
i also found coil packs labelled differently. one place has the coil pack connectors labelled 1-2-3-4 counter...
Hi, my little sister has a Ford Ka and it's running a bit rough, akin to a missing cylinder. I confirmed this (or so I thought) when I pulled one of the HT leads off and the metal connector that should be inside the ht lead was still connected to the top of the spark plug. I forced the ht lead...
the money pit and steering problems have gone! sad to see it go- the amount of blood, sweat and tears put into it.
sold it with problems in the end for £1400, which is what i asked for it. that doesn't even cover the amount spent in parts mind, let alone the £2k i paid for it 18 months ago...
no it's not being driven in case you're wondering :rasp:
i swapped insurance to my new car so the clio has been uninsured for a week. it's off the road and it's got tax. i know that doesn't matter anymore, but i'm trying to sell it and want to keep the tax on it for as long as i can. how long...
probably the only thing i never changed, but it needs it doing now as the cv joints are starting to click. my fault for fitting powerflex bushes and solid top mounts. cv being next weakest point i suppose.
no it was the speedbumps that caused the driveshaft to pop out which required the new box, but not directly. i dont remember getting any air of the bumps mind. i did another few miles in the car and all was fine, then as i went to pull out from a junction i lost drive.
the geo issues? nothing before i popped the driveshaft, then been there ever since.
just realised that saying i drove really fast over speedbumps doesn't paint a great picture when trying to sell a car. it was a "moment" shall we say, and lesson learned.
thanks for all the responses guys. i've decided to try my luck at selling it whole for £1400. £2k breaking it is tempting (plus i'll have a load of spares as i've not ruled out another clio. (i've just bought a leon cupra 180 but it's quite thirsty and, well, boring.)) i'm willing to take a few...
it had three hunter alignments last year after having different stuff replaced. regarding the map, unfortunately i made a boo-boo and sold the box too soon.
one thing thats tempting me to break it is that i wouldn't rule out another clio and having boxes of spares will always be handy
bear with me caller :)
