Tried the scrappy but all the clios had a differnet layout of engine to mine. My friends automati 1.2 (?) has this hose but the end coming off the air filter box goes nowhere.
I should probably take it to a garage.

Thanks for this Pinky! When I start the car the revs go from 950 down to 500 ish and up and down again until it sorts itself out after about 5 mins and is ok until you start up the car again. Like you say nearly stalls.
Thought this was a faulty O2 sensor. Is the hose connected to this...
Hi
I changed my air filter the other day on my '95 RSi with F3P engine (drum shaped air filter) and I noticed the vacuum hose that should be clipped to the top of the airbox is missing.
What does this do and where has it gone? Could it be making my idle run rough?
cheers

Don't know. The MOT report says one is loose but doesn't say which one.
Gearstick moves under acceleration and the car gives a bit of a judder when changing gear.

Thanks Leeshez
A lot nicer now I'm not worrying about shredding the engine because of cam belt failure.
Although now I think about it you probably mean jonnymac's :-)
I need to respray my strips on my MK 1 RSi because they have faded in the NE scotland climate. What would I use for this?
I have a can of spray paint for bodywork touching up, is this ok for the rubbing strips or would I need primer and/or sand them down bit?
cheers

That's interesting, mine runs lumpy when starting up. Dips down to about 500rpm and then picks up to idle. This goes on for a few minutes after starting up (although not every time)

I'm getting a cambelt change on my MK1 Clio RSi.
Should I get the aux drive belt done too? What damage can be done if this belt snaps while driving?
Cheers

Thanks for this, anyone got ideas on where to get a replacement? Can't find this locking nut remover thing in the car.
Sorry for the noobish questions :)

I've never had alloy wheels before. I have the standard alloys on my 1.8 Mk1 RSi.
One of the nuts is different to the other 3, Do I need a special tool to remove this nut to get the wheel off?
Thanks for any advice

Hello,
My Clio 1.8 Rsi 1995 seems to have had a bit of a homemade repair done on it. The front plastic bit that sits in front of the radiator and below the bonnet is now loose at one side where it had been stuck down with some sort of compound.
The picture shows where the repair had...
No mate, not part of the Boully scene, was on my way back to work and decided to take a pic by the sea to email to my folks.
Nice car you have there though, I'll look out for it Jonny.
