    id hate to say it mate, i work on my own brakes and dont cut corners or cost, i would, if i was you listen to mechanic and swallow the cost, they might just stop working, then you would be stuffed going down one of those hills!! ps in he past 4 months ive spend about £400 on my clio`s brakes...

    and i would say red stuff if you drive your car on track then home from track, i found true track pads can give a bit of a, woops im not stopping as they still cold kindal ride!!!

    i got green stuff, lasted ages and stop well, they have brake fad if you really push it, i mean hard. so overall good raod pad, not for track obviously.

    ps if your looking wheel nut key is missing the nuts will have to be drilled of most tyre places do this, they get it alot!! then of to halfords for some news ones!

    K-tec racing, £30 + vat each. There hard to do by youself, you need a blow torch to heat the excisting disc then the bearings will just fall out, the push the new ones ito your disc with a lot of force i used a vice with wooden side to force them in works a treat! be prepared for a long job cos...

    how low do i go??

    ye i got mine down thirty mm, and its handles great plus the car sits flat. K-Tec racing, have a large selection of springs and shocks, call them as they really know there stuff to suite all budgets plus lots of tuning parts, turbo convertions the lot.

    heat the old disc with a blow torch and the old bearings that should long live the disc will just fall out, i used a vice with wodden side and simply forces them in nice and easy!

    help needed please

    i had a cable for may handbrack that my mechanic found was just on its way out as it wiggled its way near the gear shift just under the gatter probley worth popping that of to see it the cable is getting damaged, easy fix.

    Cheapest Tyres

    RSR wheels & tyres, £50 each fitted for yoko new tyre treat and they are excellent, ive just got mine and i highly recomend. i would go as far to say in cornering they hold better than conti.

    hi mate just a little advice, when tackling the rear discs, make sure your hand brake isnt on otherwise it will cause all sorts of problems. also you will need to re-use the exciting wheel bearings, ive just posted on another chat the best way to do it without damaging you nice new disc.

    hi mate, from past experience, you need to heat, carefully with a blow torch, the old discs with the excisting wheel bearings in to expand the disc then the baering will just fall out. you wont need to heat the new disc to fit the bearing in just a bit of force, but make sure that they are...
