Started work on my car today at around 11am, firstly i thought i'd lower the back end by adjusting the torsion bar as i've just bought some 55mm spax springs and some 15"alloys off a friend. So to sum up i was expecting to have a nice lowered car by the end of the afternoon/day.
Earlier i went...

too late, i already bought the belt, it was only £15, so i just need to find a cheap or decent priced tensioner. me being me thought that it would turn out cheaper buying them seperate, cause they wanted £60 for belt and tensioner so i don't see how that works. any ideas of a cheap one?

yea i kept on top of the coolant, it was only if i didnt fill it up and it ran dry that i'd of cracked the head. so it should be okay i think, but im not a mechanic so ya know.
i want to replace the whole of my dash clocks cause i tried to fit some dial backrounds but i messed up a few of my needles and my friend snapped one, so i was wondering if any other clio dials and everything are compatible with mine. its a 96 1.4 rt, thanks
it varys really, cant say ive noticed differences in turning but i know that it makes alot more noise when its in gear, and when its in neutral while moving its not as noisey. i dunno, i dont want to spend loads of money getting my wheels inspected and whatnot if it isnt gonna sort it..
i got quoted £150 to get a water pump and a timing belt fitted as long as i supplied the parts. and the guy at the garage said they make a load of noise if broken. but if it isnt the pump, how will i go about finding out what the noise is, and whats the costs?
my water pump has been broken for a few weeks but i got told as long as i kept on top of the coolant level it should run okay. pulled up at some traffic lights today and a sh*t load of steam came out the bonnet, filled my coolant back up asap and 2 litres of coolant escaped through the water...

how the hell do you change it, ive had to bodge mine with some bloody glue and bolts and stuff, a link to a complete guide how to do it would be great, or just a detailed explanation and pictures. thanks
thats fair enough then, although when i got my car, i already had the sub, head unit, splitter, apint and tints before i even got it lol had it about 2 month now i think, need to do loads of leathering inside and i need a damn spoiler but i cant find one anywhere:mad:
you can pick a smart front bumper up from ebay and you get the fogs with it, just the wiring that may be the problem, unless there are cables already fitted like alot of cars these days
