Hi, the cat on my 182 is going quite crispy and I'm struggling to get it to seal properly. I don't want to go decat, so I want to replace it. These seem really good value but am unsure whether it will pass a UK mot, has anyone on here got any experience of these...
I've always had problems with my fuel rail guard coming loose and rattling.
Anyway one of the studs has now broken and I intend to replace both bolts/studs but how tight should the nuts be that hold the rail guard on.
Scared about over doing and pulling the stud out of the alloy head.
And...
Just done same on mine, as mentioned above, cup conversion using cup or Volvo brackets and cup alt, unless you did what I did and found a 120 amp alt that fits.
I was going to say if you can't separate it, your simply not hitting it hard enough!! I split mine and put it back in no particular way. Is it really noticeable the steering?
If anyone needs a code in future, just go into Google store on your posh phone and type in Renault radio code or similar, loads of apps will appear. Download, scan the barcode on side, instant code. Job done.
According to the eBay advert it's of a Clio MK2 ph1 1.9dti with a/c. I believe the non a/c version uses the 75amp cup alt. But pretty sure it will be used in other Renault's.
Over the last few months I have deleted my ac and carried out the epas conversion. To get rid of the two pulleys I decided to run the cup alternator conversion by using Volvo 340 parts. My only option was the 75amp cup alternator, but it seemed silly running the epas conversion that uses more...
Hi, I remember your name from the talk audio forums dum dum.
Not sure if the question was for me or thread starter. It was a 182, but binned of the AC and the pas pump as have gone epas.
But running fundamentally a cup set up, only difference am using Volvo 300 1.7 brackets to mount the...
I have managed to find a 120 amp alternator off another Renault, that physically fits, but it has got damaged in transit so waiting for a new regulator to come, then I can try and run it.
Mine has cup brackets, well Volvo ones anyway. Am a newish member here and relatively new to Clio...
Yeah the alternator does look to be sticking out far, but has been mentioned its in roughly the same place as usual, just looks odd with the Pas pump gone. Does the top one look ok, because I would hate to lose the belt due to been a Skin flint.
Cheers for the input, a bit new to the Clio scene...
The idler on the first is actually the Pas pump pulley, it was just for mock up purposes. The Saab one on the WRC delete is smaller and that's what would be used. The engine in the pic is scrap.
I have deleted A/C using the WRC method but i have decided to get rid of the hydraulic PAS and go for EPAS on my 182. But cup set-ups are few and far between and only uses the 75 amp alt which works fine, but with the EPAS using more current it seems wiser to retain the 110 amp alternator, also...
Yeah that's right I stuck a bolt in there as I thought it was not needed being a different breather system to the 182. So if I put the original metal fitting in that pipe, and I just use a 172 pipe everything should work as intended?
Hi guys, i am the process of fitting a 172 engine into a 182, but i have come across this pipe, there is no place to plug this into the rear of the 172 upper plenum. Whats it for, and do i actually need it?, as am guessing the 172 that donated its engine didn't have one.
I am in the process of changing both track rod ends on my FF 182. Before I did the passenger track rod end I measured 30mm of threads between the locking nut to the area where the threads stop, so I could roughly fit the new track rod end in the correct position (roughly). On the drivers side I...
