I have an A200 and bought a Sigma 70-300 lens for it a few months back.
Its brilliant, got it off ebay for £90 and its like new.
As mentioned, its not the sort of lens for landscape images but for depth of field shots its fantastic.
I'm still new to using DSLR's and its improved my shots and...
I was pretty sure it did have a slightly wider track??
It also failed on rear discs and pads and a front ball joint.
I didnt fit them.
They were on the car when I bought it.
Had my cup Mot'd couple of days ago, unfortunately it failed, on a couple of things...
One of them being a problem with the front brake hoses...
I replaced the front discs and pads a few months ago and to my pleasant surprise my car already had Goodridge hoses fitted - all good :)
So I...
I fitted one of these a couple of months ago, very happy with it.
Reduces shifting travel a good amount, enables quicker gear changes, noticeably shorter shifting :)
I've heard you've got to be somewhat moderate in use though as it could possibly eat your gearbox if you over-do it and snap...
Thanks everyone for the replies
I would like to have it lower, but dont want to lose comfort at the moment, maybe coilovers one day
There are a couple of stone chips but it is in good nick otherwise, its got just over 63k on it
First time this year I've had good enough weather to give the cup a proper going over.
Had the wheels refurbed in white last month, couldnt decide whether to stay silver with them, or even go black, but really happy I chose white.
Got some speedline decals from Ady on here and love the way...
Thanks mate
I dont know whos the 172 is but i did recognise it, real nice car I love the look of it. The Cup pictured is mine, stuck away with a load of evo's and impreza's, its filthy though :(
Someone told me about this a few days ago so thought I'd have a drive down and have a look, what a morning it was!
Great weather, hundreds of amazing cars and lots of people. Had a lovely sausage sandwich and took a lot of pics so thought I'd share them...
Totally agree with the above.
Fair enough he might not have had a camera, but you cant pass off someone elses belongings as your own. As mentioned above, press images are available.
It would put me right off, making me think there is something to hide about the car.
I'm picky when it comes...
It might not be the end of the world but I am slightly peeved, is it not wrong passing someone elses car off as your own? Especially in an advert, false advertising in a way?
Some of you guys might not see it I guess
THATS MY CAR!! those pics are of my car! taken near me in beverley.
And the engine shot is at my house.
Am I missing something here?? Just look at my avatar, recognise the 2nd pic??
I'm shocked, think you better check this one out
Had my 172 cup on a RR yesterday. It made 180bhp and 157lb/ft, also did a 1/4 mile in 13.87s.
Now I understand a RR is never going to be fully accurate etc. And I'm never going to claim my car makes this much, however I would like peoples comments if they dont mind.....
As far as I'm aware...
Do you mean axle-tramp? If thats what its called?
Is it not fairly common in powerful front wheel drive cars?
My cup does it if I accelerate hard in first or second. Its not good for the car I dont think, doesnt feel too nice.
Re: Iceberg 172 Cup Project
thats looking very nice and clean.
the problem with your headlights...are they sort of grazed all over the top? thats what mine are like. Seems its quite common. Need to find someone with a machine polisher :)
Very nice, I was there last summer.
The pier pics, where was that? Looks like a restaurant that we stopped at, the Duck and something I think. But the pier wasnt damaged, hmm
Thanks for all the comments people.
As for the wheels, not gonna do anthracite. No offence to anyone but its been done many times.
Its between bright silver and satin black. hmm
Another job is to respray the wing mirror covers as theyre dull and chipped
Thanks for all the comments guys
Win indeed, theyre still bedding in I think, done about 120 miles so far since fitting.
Cheers. anthracite is an option, I'm quite keen on satin black. but then I like the look of shiny silver :S
Thanks. Wheels arent spot on unfortunately. Fronts are...
Finally got chance to give the cup a good clean today....before it bludy rained anyway.
Fitted new discs and pads last weekend, brembo hc's and ferodo premier pads. Much improved braking now.
Also was pleasantly surprised to find I had Goodridge braided hoses fitted, also greenstuff pads...
