But he never tested the SRT-6 !
Also he is "ever-so-slightly" biased as to what he likes. I believe in people having there own opinions based on facts rather than following others like sheep like they worship them and hang on every word they say......
Hmmm......the SRT6 is built in Germany in the same factory as the Mercedes SLK. It uses 65% Mercedes/AMG parts and is not "quite" the same as a Standard Crossfire. I agree the body styling is American, but they even use German Steel for the body shell so is good quality too. All switchgear is...
some pics: Since these were taken I have fitted rear diffuser each side of the exhaust.
Also, I have ordered the SL55 Air intake for the supercharger which is far less restrictive and will yield approx 15BHP more. I am already running at approx 360 BHP, so really looking fwd to this next mod.
Went out last night to test 0-60 after mods got 4.7 secs with some wheel spin. If I could cut the wheel spin I recon 4.5 would be posible (but a perfect launch would be rare) Under 5 sec's is achievable almost everytime though.
Also, the best 0-100 I have got so far is 10.75 (not on public...
I have the SRT-6 Crossfire that has a few tweaks over the normal crossfire and there are only 2000 coiupes and 900 convertibles worldwide, so very rare.
Changes include:
strengthened chassis
uprated suspension
uprated callipers
uprated discs
larger fixed rear spoiler
lower front lip...
I got the Crossfire SRT-6 about a month ago. as per this model bar:-
AMG Engine and Gearbox
Reinforced Chassis
Upgrated suspension
Uprated Discs
Uprated Callipers
Larger, fixed rear spoiler
It was marketed as 330 BHP but had identical engine to the SL32 AMG (SLK) which is rated at 350...
going south up the eastern road Portsmouth this morning at about 07:30.
If you are on here, I hope it is still going well and a quick example as always for a Cup. Enjoy......I know I did ..........
My wife has a DCI 65 and it's quite impressive now its run in. Thinking about getting it chipped (superchips) to take it to 88 BHP (cheaper than buying a DCI 80)
My Car is mapped for min 98 ron (supposed to be 100 ron) so I will get an increase in power. Gald it has detergents in it as I would stick with Optimax otherwise. I'm down to Tescos when I run dry
We are unable to advise on the content of Shell Optimax, however I can confirm that our 99 octane unleaded petrol has a minimum RON of 99 and a MON of 87. It exceeds the British Standard Specifications for BS7800 - superunleaded fuel, and BSEN228 premium unleaded. It contains a high level of a...

thing about scoobys 0-60 times are they are exagerated. like you say 320ps in a 1500kg car 4wd with cleaver diffs will do a 5sec to 60 (still very rapid) but the standard STI with 260hp same weight in reality only do 6s and wrx standard simular weight 220ps only actually do 7s...
Cheers for all your comments (some more than others)-
Mike172sport - you managed to prise it from Steves hands did you ? He is asking rather alot for my old CUP dont you think ? by my reconing about £1k, even for a dealer.
they are clearing old stock from various opinions - I had 3 years free servicing instead - They are now offering the ugrade instead of the servicing and are of similar value. I have had the new PPP fitted with has a complete ECU replacement amongst other mods. The rumour is that the Current...
The Tyres are Bridgestones and are about as slick as you can get -
In case you were wondering its knocking out 320PS (rumour has it) and Prodrive figures for the 2005 model are 0-62 in 4.2 secs. Does seem optimistic, but you can launch it without abusing the clutch too much in about 5 secs...
Chief Brodie:-
Tyres look mean they are not far off slicks. Obviously not been able to push it yet, but have been carrying some speed into corners with no problem. In the wet at speed it feels a little skitty sometimes, but if you "partially" lock the diff it is rock solid again. DCCD does...
Thanks for your comments & thoughts, most of them nice as well. Anyway you cant please everyone all the time. Im chuffed with it anyway. To aswer a few of your questions:-
yes its an 05 model
Servicing isnt as bad as you think (unless you need parts) eg a cambelt service is more expensive...
Homerjay:- group 20 insurance with an amendment for the prodrive upgrade. highest quote was £1500 lowest was £910 and thats with 20 years no claims and a clean licence.
182_blue:- dont ask on the fuel. difficult to gauge running in but a recon about 230miles per tank being very gentle and at...
Subaru Impreza WRX STI (soon to be prodrived too) Well what can I say, feels and drives fantastic. Its a pain only going to 4000rpm as it has just started to go for it and im having to up shift. 290miles so far another 710 to go then unleash the beast !
Well recommended to all of you, go...
Hi Mike,
You will need to speak to Steve in sales as he will have my car from Friday this week.
Said he does not want me to remove any parts from it. So much for returning it to standard to sell on !
After 2 years and 3 months of ownership the replacement rocket has been ordered. Ive gone for the Subaru Impreza WRX STI and getting it prodrived too. So if anyone wants a cheap CUP in Hampshire:-
52 plate (Dec)
23700 miles
Ktec zorst
Hill Power Air intake pipe
Quick Shift gear stick...
I had a new Clutch cable fitted undew warranty for that (10 months old then).
Brkae discs are worn at 17500 miles buy to need replacing at 12000 is silly unless you keep your foot on the pedal as a rest !!!! (I think not).
