The gearing is the main reason for the performance differences between Mk1 and Mk2 V6. Renault's figures suggest 0-60 of 6.4 for the Mk1 and 5.8 for the Mk2. In reality I think they are both pretty similar at around 5.8 on average, as EVO magazine found.

You cannot rely on this forum to make your final decision. Ask the professionals if dry is a good idea on a 1.8 with a standard (not remapped) ecu.
As I was trying to impress earlier......do not go for a dry system with a standard ecu.
Nitrous will not destroy your engine, neither will a turbo nor supercharger.
However, incorrect installation/useage of any of these might well do.
Infact if your standard engine develops some fault...
The car did have engine covers for that airbox, they were removed for FCS.
The engine doesn't come with the car at that price which surprised me!!! It's being reverted to standard engine/ecu for the sale, but it does include wheels/spoiler/splitter.

Don't go for a dry system. Use a wet Wizards of Nos kit running 25bhp jets, get it professionally installed, no need for a controller at that level.
Use it correctly...don't activate below 3000 rpm and don't hit the limiter....because of the extra low down torque you should be shifting 1000rpm...
That car belongs to Terry Briggs and runs a Nissan (pulsar) 2 litre turbo.
Not a V6 at all but fast and loud, and that's what's important!!
It features in British Rallycross Supercars and is actually one of the slower cars in that class.

You're right, it doesn't always run. Sounds great though with huge bangs from the anti-lag on shifting and flames on the overun....
Take your power at the wheels, add 10, and divide by 0.85
This should give you an approximate flywheel figure.
There's a good chance they'll tell you it's much higher though.......
This car is stunning. Just under 300bhp. I was lucky enough to get a passenger lap at Bruntingthorpe when the paddle shifters were being setup.
Acceleration is awesome, as are the brakes!

As mentioned previously Guy Chamberlain at CPL Racing is the man to talk to for Honda conversions. His type-R turbo is currently at 11.1secs 1/4 mile but will be quicker still next season. He also built the fastest supercharged type-R.
