The cap on my gear stick of my 182 has seen better days. I've getting ordered a new leather cover as my one is loose as something snapped on it, but nothing else is out of place. Is it simple to just replace the cap rather than the whole thing?

Well, one of the reasons is that some of the fixings for the cat are rusted soild to the manifold. No holes or cracks but figured it was only a matter of time and since the cambelt is needing a change, I just thought it would be simpler to get it all sorted at once. If not then fair enough =)

Hi guys, need to change the seals on the ends of the cat as they are blowing awefully when cold and as they warm up, they expand and seal up. The noise is ungodly but for some reason I can't find the fittings I'm looking for. Anyone know a good place to look?

I got it fixed, nothing to do with the battery. For some reason the key/immobilizer on the car forgot the code so had tyo leve the key in the ingnition (whiched on) to reset it. Started first time. Thanks for the help though guys, don't know what I would have done with all the feedback...

Could it be the imobilizer? or may be the starter motor? Maybe the battery is dead and cannot hold a charge? Spark plugs need changing/cleaning? Engine needs replacing? Code been wiped from key?

Ok, so I took my 182 off the road about 1-2 months ago as needed a few things done (Cat and other things) anyway, seeing about getting it back on the road. Going back to it, the battery was dead which I expected, and I poped the bonnet and set about getting some charge in the battery to start...

Hi guys, the reflective mirrored funnel part of my n/s fog light is rusted. A friend has suggested finding some silver paint and covering up the rust, but I'm not so sure thats a good idea. Just looking for some advice. Thanks guys.

I'm not sure, its right next to the cat, connecting it to the manifold. Its also held by 2 spring bolts.

Hi guys, the gasket connecting the manifold to the front of the Cat is blowing. Been told that all I need is a replacement gasket but that I can only get it from a Renault dealer. Is that the only placeI can get this part and is that the only part I need? Thanks guys Edit: Its for a 182

Mine is doing the same at the moment but we've checked the fittings (I've even had the car on the ramp as I fitted a Miltek Cat-Back exhaust) and they all seem ok. I'd prefer not to spend over a ton on a new Cat if I don't need to.
