I saw couple of unfortunate case of 172 piston ring/piston land damage in my country. Not mine but scared me. Is this kind of damage usual in the UK? BTW, My '03 172 cylinder head may has problem too. Knocking sound between 3k-4k rpm with loading, more loading makes louder knocking sound...

if my new cam come with a pre-lift at TDC (IN 2.00 / EX 1.55mm), the actual pressure will drop theoretically right?

Ppl in Taiwan use IK-22 for normal Clio 172, IK-24 for cam modded one. IK-22 is around 300 NTD (approx 75 HK, 5 GBP) each here. Just for your reference.

Hi Fred, If Clio 172 equipped Schrick Camshaft and right ecu map, even 172 without 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, can 172's power band kick in at 3500 rpm?

My mate wrote to Orbisoud, they answered that they don't have it, go to renault sport for it, something like that. Gee... it's so difficult to get a 4-2-1 exhsut manifold for Clio in Taiwan...

205/40-17 Eagle F1 GSD3 (Germany made) on my 172. Good in wet, no comment with dry.

i guess no uprate available except cup racer dedicated top mount, the one seems to be only fit to cup racer suspension with special made omp strut brace. BTW, the standard one sucks.
