Ive had the Eibach Pros fitted a couple of weeks back and it has dropped closer to 30mil than 15/20mil. Wheels (standard 16s) fill the arches nicely and the ride is definately improved. Damping of smaller holes etc is def. better.
I dont rate them much to be honest. They tramline very badly on slightly uneven roads and torque steer is definately worse. And they are totally useless in the snow - granted my original Contis didnt actually see winter as they died after about 8.5 months so dont know if it is the car thats...
Mine does it. At first service they tightened the anti-roll bars which they said would cure it. Made it slightly better but is back to normal now. feels like the whole front ends gonna drop off when turning sometimes. Gonna wait and see what its like when i have new lowering springs fitted...
Snooper S6R Neo. Non are that good tho unless you can mount the detector and GPS in a suitable place due to the reflective windscreens. Ideally the radar detector should be behind the grill but theres no space on my 172 so have to have it where cut out is on bottom of windscreen, but then you...
Just ordered my Pros from Motorworld. Cost £74.99. Does this sound too cheap? Bloke insisted they were correct ones for my car as he double checked with someone at Eibach
Im waiting for my exhaust to crumble away as I want either SuperSprint or new hidden K-Tec one. Shouldnt be too long now if the exhaust is made to the same w**k quality as my driveshaft was (replaced after about 13.5K miles!)
Cheers bud, cant wait to get it done. Just hope mine is one of the ones that ends up lowering a decent amount. Waiting to get it done is almost just as exciting as it was waiting to get the car in the first place. I need a life (and a girl) or a PS2!
Think Ill probably stick to the Eibach Pros. After reading some older posts, there has been mention of having brake bias altered on cars that have been lowered about 40+mm. Dunno if this is necessary on a 172 with that brake EBD? Also people hav reported drops of between 15mm to 30mm with...
Get an ITG from Mitsi. I just paid £47 bucking quid for mine. Ive removed the airfeed from the airbox to give a rorty sound. Performs better tnat with an open IK in my opinion and sounds better
So not fair! I passed a youngish lad i see almost everyday on the way to work this morning. He used to drive a Silver MK2 172 with private plate - now drives a 360! Hes probably gay with a small schlong tho hopefully
Hello peeps. Have done a search on this but need to ask a few questions anyhoo.
Is it worth while fitting lowering springs to my 03 172 using the original shockers? Im thinking on getting the Apex ones that lower it 40mm. Ill be keeping the standard alloys on so will I get any rubbing at...
They arent competition cars! Many road going cars have similar technology built in to them, especially in america. Why are people prepared to waste £80+ squids (me included) on an open IK that loses power and not willing to try the Ecotek for £50 that gives better response and when you can get...
I have one on mine. When tuned correctly it gives more response lower down rev range. You dont really gain in economy tho as you end up flooring it a lot more because of this. If you drive like a girl tho you will see some improvement. I regularly make trips to manchester and have noticed...
I would just get a decent panel filter like itg and add extra air feeds. Also remove the pipe into your airbox and have it loose infront of the whole to get the extra air in. ive done that to mine after removing my K&N and makes a lot of difference. it also sounds beefy and not tacky like the...
