hmmmm
where the hand brake is bolted to the floor there are two bolts towards the front that stick out slightly from the plastic moulding. After a drive these are actually quite warm to the touch, is this normal !?!
I assume its coz the exhaust runs down the middle before it splits in...
If you need a new boot floor I feel for ya I really do. Renault wouldnt provide a boot floor for me or even give me a date for delivery, because they werent any available, think mine was one of 18 required in the UK (I have no idea if anyone else got theres). In the end I think they had to...
finally got my mota back, and feels soooo fast after the 3 cylinder corsa i had to put up with. Sadly tho the numpties at the garage havent put the exhaust back on properly, either that or the exhaust / brackets are still bent after the accident (something I repeatedly asked them to check), as I...
9 weeks on after my boot floor was crumpled in an accident my car is finally due to be finished and back together tomorrow, and i can finaly be rid of the sh1ty corsa hire car. :o)
I would just like to thank Renault for being complete mailto:tw@ts">tw@ts as usual
whats worse is that its...
Still no boot floor for my Clio (after the accident 8 weeks ago) and the insurers wants to take the hire car away sniff sniff :o(
Insurance of the bod that hit me now wants to give me £500 to go and buy a 2nd hand car to drive around while I wait for my car to be fixed, to save on hire cost...
thanks guys
wont be particularly sad to see the Astra go but the stereo does seem a dam sight better than the standard Renault item, also hire car has done 7000 miles and doesnt even squeak shock!
5 weeks on since being rear ended in a crash im left with a 182 in bits in the garage and Renault refusing to confirm a date as to when a new boot floor can be delivered.
Direct line say they cant do anything as they have to use Renault parts so its down to Renault.
Renault UK say they...
After being rear-ended in a crash and getting a crumpled boot floor car was off to the garage for a repair.
Only for Renault to first send a boot floor with a wheel well (well it was at least for a Clio so not to bad for Renault I suppose) then for the correct one on order to go unavailable...
I also get a clunk, well not a clunk as such but feels like a slight vibration through the clutch peddle.
Get in the car in the morning, start engine, release hand brake, reverse of drive, put it in 1st gear driver away while turning to left and then clunk / vibration in clutch pedal.
Dont...
Someone drove into the back of me a few weeks ago and squished my 182 requiring a new boot floor.
Renault promptly (well for them anyway) sent a new boot floor to the garage but incorrectly sent one including a wheel well, so it has to go back.
Garage just phoned me up to say that Renault...
looks as tho they are going to cut the boot floor out and weld a new one in. Directline have said i wont be able to claim for any loss of value to my mota either.
expected completion date........19th of April :o(
check it out......assuming it works

can t be much slower its only .6...
<snip> from HelpHire
What replacment transport will i get
All you have to do is show that you need a similar standard. You may need a people carrier to transport children to and from school, or a prestige car because of your status at work etc.

what about need 182 so i can...
doh sorry read first post later, thought you meant renault help line :o)
did try ringing the helpline that was included in the accident pack but the guy on the phone didnt seem to want to know
should get it free, just ring up and have a moan at your dealer. First day i get around to putting the pack (tourch, camera, pen, crayon) in the car and somone drives into me.
pulled up and was stationary at traffic lights yesterday, and a car piled straight in to the back of me :o( sob
crumpled bumper can now see about 5" of the exhausts, have to really slam boot to get it to close properly, and it no longer fits flush to the rear lights one of the exhaust pipes...
yes it was on level ground when a checked it, so will just put it down to gremlins in the electrical system.
after consulting the dipstick its down to around half full (between the two notches) after 3500 miles. Will top it up and keep an eye on it, certainly dont want renault poking around...
hey give me chance :o)
just been out to check the dipstick and its reading just below the two notches so just under half full, checked the reading on the dash and it now shows 3 blobs, doh. So panic over for the moment.
I was only gonna book it in as i was concerned it was using up its oil...
well i suppose i drive it quite hard but no harder than i did with my 172 and that never/hardly used any oil, it always lasted to its service anyway
theres no sign of any oil on the drive and i had the engine cover off to check for oil there to but no sign of any, can only assume its burning...
whats considered normal oil use on 182 ? I have only done around 3500 miles but when i checked the oil thismorning (in car not dipstick) it was down to 1 blob. :os
gonna have to book it in for a top up / get the oil from renault, but if it is using oil should they pay for it under warantee ...
