I've removed the recaros from my 56 plate 197 and fitted a set of 200 seats and now the airbag light is on, is there anyone in south yorkshire with clip who can reset/reconfigure it as the mot is due soon.
Thanks
New car looks smart mate. Just get 4 new federal rsr's and have done with. Having different width tyres across the same axle is an mot fail too although youd be unlucky to get pulled for it... suppose ya could say its a space saver lol
If I were you mate id put a decent set of pads in the front and book a trackday, you dont have to go full track car and ruin it for day to day use like most people do.
They are good cars for the money and I would say you will get £1500-£2000 depending where you live if you decide to sell it...
get the camber measured before you buy any shims, you might find you dont need any. ive got -2 degrees front and back and it handles well, will be trying 2.5 font see how that feels
i'd agree with the above, i had apex on mine and swapped for cooksports, the cooksports are a better "all rounder" and better in the wet but I would say apex were better for track use, just get some new cup dampers to go with them and with a decent geo setup there wont be much overtaking you
when its parked up, leave the handbrake off and in gear if its on level ground, get the handbrake adjusted for more clicks too so when you do use it, it works the mechanism more... doubt you will have any problems with the rear brakes unless its sat for a very long time if you do those things
For the sake of 12 quid for a new febi lower mount it would be daft not to change it while you've got the tools out.
I changed all mine recently to febi oe replacements apart from the dogbone (evol) and was suprised how much better it was after, cars on 96k by the way
Got cooksports and cup dampers on mine and its good on the road but a little soft on track, dont mind as its mainly a road car anyway, just fitted a whiteline which has made a nice difference too. geo is set at -2 deg and 15min toe out on front end and -2 deg parallel toe on the rear.. doesn't...
get one of these mate http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=131089829922&alt=web
straight fit, think hes listed them at wrong price though as im sure they were 15-20 quid originally
i didnt mind apex when i had them fitted, no good on country lanes though, too bouncy.. bilstein coilovers are rated highly on here and you can get them for under £600 i believe
love the impreza mate, i was looking at an sti or an r32 gtr but like you say, having so much money in a car means its always in the back of your head that if you come off on track its gona be an expensive mistake... thats why im sticking with the 172 for now.
I think the white wheels suit the...
Fitted some 182 seats f+r at the weekend, look much better than the originals:
Also fitted a whiteline rear arb too, currently got it set to soft, cant really tell its on but i've only driven a few miles with it fitted so cant really comment what its like yet.. rubbish pic, Ive also fitted...
