It's the log book and chassis numbers they are buying on the RS2000! Heard it all before. Nothing worth keeping on that rust bucket.
OIC we're on P15 now. DOH!
G/F lives in Harlow was on my way there.
Dont think that was me later tho if thats what you mean.
Just BMC and full throttle. Could drive through tunnels all day long, it cracks me up its so loud.
About £250ish from Demon Tweeks i think.
When you pull away you get a deep warbling almost Subaru like sound which gets louder the longer you hold down the pedal.
Sounds great "on cam" through tunnels too. :D
Was driving about pointlessly for ages after fitting it just being a noisy sod...
Been trying mine on and off (fitted with Hillpower pipe too).
A lot more responsive with it on and a great sound produced but almost sucks too much air and makes the car feel like its got less torque to me in the midrange and on motorway.
Just my observations.
Maybe feels better cos the...
5 stud hubs? Megane turbo running gear perhaps? Why else would they bother? Turbo would be too quick to use all the power without lots of LSD (not drugs but they could help) and speed robbing traction control IMO. Maybe on the next clio. Doubt theyd go to all that trouble for a limited...
Second hand 172 wins on pure value for money. More choice of colours also. What do you want from the car should decide. Cups not an ideal everyday driver if you like comfort but bloody good fun.
Im sure someone posted a diagram showing the toe/camber settings for a 172 and 172 cup on here once but cant seem to find it. Anyone got this info or can put a link in.
Cheers.
Id rather buy a second hand 182 with cup pack. Depreciation is on the side of used car buyers. No big change from 182 to the new cup version. Bit pointless IMHO.
All sorted last week. Bought a new wheel and spoke to the repair place and they fitted it no questions asked. Bet theyll make a fortune from Elephant anyway. Repainted parts look better than when Renault made them. Cups back in action again. It took over a bloody month for them to finish tho and...
Read his thread about his accident. His accident was down to his aftermarket tyre blowing so they can pin the blame on that. Im just wondering whether the fact that my wheels didnt cause my accident will make any difference. Im quite happy to buy a new wheel/tyre if they want.
Fingers crossed then.
My cousin smased up his 106 GTi and had lowered it and had a Magnex zorst without declaring them and got them replaced with standard parts. All depends what the insurance company are like i suppose. Im with elephant.
Had an accident recently when i hit a curb killing my nearside alloy and suspension after being cut up. Only thing is that i changed my 16"s to 17" without telling my insurance company as i heard they dont replace mods when you claim, just charge you for having them. Anyone had a similar...
I think a neutrino passed through my brain as i looked at this thread. It now resembles green jelly with holes in. Im gonna stick to driving tales in future.
Well the cup has a higher insurance group over the 172 so i can see roughly where theyre coming from. its not about modifications really just that the higher value of the car and performance over the standard model warrants a higher premium.
Theyre multiplying. Especially with 182 "cups" claiming the name. I was gutted when the 182 came out in a similar colour to the cup, see them everywhere now.
looks good in the engine bay.
Im not too keen on the red ally bits on the Viper although it looks like its well made. Where does the cold air feed pipe run? The original feeds come out i guess.
Any one got a BMC fitted? Wheres the best place to get one? Like the blue hose connection but not had a reply from hill power when i e-mailed them about it.
