    mk3 tom tom

I wouldn't know to be honest, Never wanted to get into all that hassle just for a satnav. Just used a Garmin. If you can get the Clio one cheap enough though, might as well give it a go!

    mk3 tom tom

I looked into this when I had my clio, IIRC the screen on the dash has different connectors on both screens, so not only do you need the satnav unit, screen, SD card, but you also need the antenna and wiring loom.

    Arm rest fabric

What @Knuckles said, did the same on mine many times.

I'm sure you're oblivious to other things though! Do you notice when your other half changes her makeup? ;)

    Gt Anyone? Ideas?

Looks a bit halfrauds IMO, makes the sideskirts look enormous, rear bumper bit looks huge too :s

    Micra K12 1.4 Running badly!

Obviously missed me saying it's my Mum's car, and with your Clio I'd rather have the Micra ;)

    Micra K12 1.4 Running badly!

Nope, typical woman who said "exhaust looks fine" whole exhaust backbox had come off. #PointlessThreadAfterAll?

    Micra K12 1.4 Running badly!

Right, my mum has told me her car isn't running quite right. This is what she has described: Growling sound when you accelerate Over 20mph the growling gets louder Often pops/bangs, car shakes slightly as this happens I'm thinking misfire or exhaust? What would you all check first? Going to...

    New here

Looks smart, not a fan of the exhaust though! As said, spacers and 30mm drop will make it look very smart and a bit more aggressive.

What have you done to your car today ???

Got my Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs for the headlights!

Please help how do I remove this

@Daniel is the man when it comes to cleaning cars! Put up some Pics @Bear Head :)

Rough estimate of time taken for Clio 197 headlight change?

Drive to me Lee I will do it with you, takes me all of 30 mins for both sides. Arch liners DON'T need to come off to remove bumper, just undo the two screws at the front, at the bottom of the arch liner that join the arch to the bumper. IMO, even in my 1.2 it was a nightmare to change my...

Looking for Renault Clio 197 grills

The Wanted section of the forum may produce better results :) Other than that try eBay they often have 197's breaking on there.

What have you done to your car today ???

FINALLY WON AGAINST VAUXHALL! My new gearbox that has crunched since they put it in has finally been diagnosed after a week of them saying they couldn't fault it and replacing other bits like the linkage etc. I hear back on Monday about whether a new gearbox has been approved under parts...

What was the first thing you did to your Clio?

Hated it and had a huge argument with the dealer over the cambelt that "had been done".
  16. Ethan1996

    Heads up, expansion bottle...

Okay, power steering then ;) Is it just a PITA to change or something?
  17. Ethan1996

    Headlight not working.

If not the bulbs it'll be the stalk! I went through a few on my MK3. Annoying! If you find it hard to go into/out of high beam or it doesn't work all the time it's likely the stalk.
  18. Ethan1996

    Heads up, expansion bottle...

Why does noone change their brake fluid bottle? Always looks even more manky next to a new coolant bottle!
  19. Ethan1996

Anybody upgraded the standard turbo in a 1.2 tce ?

172 injectors and a remap first? Get good gains with those IIRC.

    Clio 182 cambelt wear signs?

Unless you know about cars, I'm sure the majority haven't had their belts done. I'm sure when you book it in for a service the majority of little garages don't mention belt changes.

    Gearbox Shield Needed NEED HELP!

Someone else had that issue, ended up cutting the gearstick bit down IIRC. Have a search on here.

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

My G3 one works really well. I'm far from a detailer but tried it on my black Astra and a white 1 Series BMW and you could see the difference as well as feel it. Then theres the bonus of not dropping it etc. G3 one was around a tenner in Halfrauds IIRC. Says on the packet to rinse thoroughly...

Anyone used 3m film on there rear quarters pic's ?

My dad's Audi A6 has a clear film on the rear quarters, presumably to prevent stone chips. Looks very good, barely noticeable unless you look for it, I only noticed when I washed the car. Not sure what film they use though?

There's many haters on the principle of layering. Some tests conclude it useless too. I like it though. (Not that I can be bothered to do it nowadays). If you want to layer I'd do with something a little nicer than FK I like FK tbh, and this car looked pretty cool with the layers. Im gonna try...
