Got my renewal through.. £1817 TPFT on my 172 - That is with Elephant, that will be my first NCB, 19, and 1yr 8months driving experience.

Any specialist companies on here or recommendations?

Ouch I paid less than that when I insured my R32 at 19 back in Feb, You might want to try confused and more than likely you'll get a quote back from them with elephant on there offering a lower price happened to me alot.

Your welcome, I also have to say Neil was very helpful in sorting me out with a quote if it wasn't for his persistence I would have just stuck with Elephant costing me more money and also not as handy where mods etc come into play.

Certainly shows an interest in getting you the cheapest quote. Good sales tactics I suppose .

Green light did me a awesome quote but so did NIC in fairness was about £10 cheaper with NIC , and i took it out with them, but greenlight offered to match after as well ! 110% effort on there part and will defiantly be looking there way come renewal !

We dont work on sales commissions here so i just help because id rather be speaking to fellow car enthusiasts/forum users than run of the mill customers. All the members on here are really friendly and welcoming so i dont mind going the extra mile.

I did try mate but after 17 years of us only quoting 21 and over i wasnt able to get the first of two underwriters to do you at 19. Im waiting to hear back on monday from the other underwriter so will keep you updated

It'll be a long wait till I can get one definitely looking into green light the year after when I'm 21.

I know honestly, id be getting mugged! But i would be driving a nice 172! its cheaper to get insured on a 197, but that means more saving and waiting lol!

I'm 19 now passed in November, fully comp on my standard 2002 1.2 16v Clio is £1800. It was somehow cheaper to be fully comp than be TPFT.

I think I'll cry when my insurance a year is around £300 and I could just pay it off in one instead of monthly!

That is TPFT, only 6000 miles, parked on driveway, mum and grandad on policy was £1300 in the end with windscreen cover blah blah.
