1.2 brake disc sizes??

on a 2002 1.2 Clio, can someone quickly please confirm, are the discs 238mm or 259mm?? I'm hearing both and getting very confused! lol! Any other details would be appreciated also

Is this spec corect;

Diameter 238mm Bore 61mm Height 41mm Thickness 12mm Mounting Holes 4

238 ar on the Mk2 phase 1's and Mk1's (Williams and 1.8 16V were 259 though).

when i had a look at your car they were deffo 259mm

get some brembo max disks and renault pads from GSF

Just use Any normal disks I use Halfords with the normal and the DS2500 pads.
The Halfords pads are very good FDB 845 I think and at £17 a bargin.

Brembos disks would look good on your car i know you like it looking good, federo (sp) normal pads run at a tenner trade or bendix from GSF are £12ish the disks are £30 each.
Halfords .... yes but i make a point of never shopping there ever!

I wouldn't think so the Mk2 phase 1 except for the powerful models had the 239mm disk fitted.

Some DO have the 238mm discs !!

Best way to see what yours is to quickly measure it up to be safe.

There are plenty out there with 238mm but mostly 259mm

Nope Mk2 2 all CLio eacpet the V6 and 172etc run 259mm disks. They use the R5GTT and WIlliams and 1.8 16V pads. The R5GTT however used 239mm disks. the WIlliams and 1.8 and Mk2 2 none RS Clios uses the 259mm disks.

ive seen Phase 1 and phase 2 1.2 8v's with 239mm solid disks i was supprised to see daz's car with 259mm but it DEFFO does have 259 vented disks and the same lucas calipers as my old 1.2 16v

yep cheers guys, checked it out today. Jon is correct :approve: 259mm vented discs with Lucas calipers. Got my new ones, just gotta get them fitted now!
