1.2 engine swap to a 1.6.

Is this a easy job. seen a few 1.6 engines on ebay. and got a qualfied mechanice willing to do it for me for cheap if its easy. got a mk2 ph2 1.2 expression would it be a take out drop in job? loom and that the same?

rather the 1.6 right now. as insurance would kill me as the 2.0ltr is grp 16 insurance.

a mate of mine told me as soon as u insure a car as a coversion its a group 13 car minimum (may not be true though) can insure it as a kit car cheaper if over 21 i think.

u will never in 1 million years do a 1.6 conversion to a mk2 ph2 for £500 lol

its just as much work as doing a 172 conversion!!

Why would you swap it for a 1.6 when its no less work than doing the 2.0 conversion.
