1.4 16v decat

is it possible on the 1.4 16v? I heard it isn't. I was thinking of just getting a cat and smashing the insides out of it, what are the advantages/disadvantages. Just looking for some more response and maybe a little bit more noise, don't want it to affect the life of my stock exhaust etc

It is possible just need to get the pipe made up of smash the internals out of your own or cut the old cat box out and have a bit of pipe welded inplace.

Advantages are a bit more noise, power and revs a bit freer.

Disadvantages are a bit more noise, You should tell insuacen so £ involved usually.

Mhhhhh, any ideas where i could get a nackered cat from? how easy are they to replace like for (smashed out) like? does it affect fuel economy?

no problems with fitting sensors, will effect economy slightly but hardly noticeable!

As for the light, mines aint on yet! we will see in due course though!
