100% complete 172RWD! - updated

Thanks for all those who helped me looking for a cover etc.
Loads of phone calls and pms.

Iv now sourced one from a ph2 v6.
Picking it up tomorow!

Can't wait to get the car back from k-tec and see
what it looks like.
 
picked up the cover lastnight.

cant wait to offer it up inside car!

might have to ask my brother if i can use his 172 just to get an idea

offered it up in rear of my brothers 172 today;)

If you want that Door I still have it otherwise im lobbing it on ebay :)
 
little update.

im told rear brakes (hi-spec four pots)
are now comete.

should have the car back in a week or two!
then i can finish the dash etc,and make up bits to hold the rear cover.

then it will go back to k-tec for engine which is being worked on-aux brackets etc.
and mapping on omex.
 
cam i get it done first lol

then do all of the following.
not too bothered how much power it makes atm.
should b around where it was said to be before 250bhp.
id b happy with 172bhp lol

id like the option of more power when needed so i think boost controller will be a good buy plus iv been told my turbocharger is too small and is maxed out at 250bhp??
only 0.6bar?
been loking at the garret gt35 !looks bigger.
not sure it would suit the size of the engine and power delivery etc.

iv also been thinking ditch the turbo and go supercharged as i already have low comp bottom end and omex . . . .plus other bits aux kit,bigger injectors.

i think i need to set a new finish date and throw all i have at it!
id like to say end of december/jan but i know it wont happen.

iv almost thought of giving up on this project i really have.
but i havent yet!
and dont intend too!

what turbo you running atm?? 200sx people use the garret gt2871r pretty well that will run 1.5bar easy
 
can anyone help me get hold of a good carbon fibre moulding company?
phone numbers?
or is there anybody on here that can make me a few bits up later?
first thing i need is a carbon backing for my digital dash display im getting to replace the clio clocks.
 
stevo this is taking time :P the months at GDI and now K-tec.. hurry up because i want to see it finnished!!!
 
Sounds like its coming along well fella. As said already a garret GT2871R will be perfect for the car and they are very easy to get hold of. A Gt35 is HUUUGE but would be great fun if you could rev the engine high enough. Failing that, bolt one on as youve already turbo'd it and just add a supercharger aswell!! No Lag worries and endless amount of scope for more power lol Its pretty easy to do as well. That would make the ultimate 172 in my eyes...... turbocharged and supercharged mid engined sleeper....lancia S4 style!!!;)
