Re: 50% complete 172RWD!

I can understand doing it yourself but just not if the performance benefits aren't forthcoming?

You can have a front wheel drive 172 for a track day special just as easily and cheaper....

Hell you can have a brand new RS 197 CUP racer for £20K straight from France ready to go!

I'm thinkin of converting my V6 too. Gonna remove the engine from the rear and stick it in the front and convert to FWD....

Track day special by the same reckoning!

tw*t lol well see soon enough

In theory it will be quicker, though only fractions of a second, but it will also allow for higher useable output!

Put a larger fuel tank in the front, it would solve two problems. Only downside would be the balance of the car would change as you get low on fuel. Would be good to have a fuel cap in the middle of the bonnet, certainly unique not that this project isn't already!

Hillman Imp's used to run the tank in the bonnet....One of the most dangerous cars ever, lol

Re: 70% complete 172RWD!

im sure a full race fuel alloy tank cell is much safer than a plastic one which is next to a very hot exhaust!
