Had the service, £153, all very good. All service partschanged, they tightened up the exhaust and checked out all the querky items I told them about.

However the new oil they put in is the ELF Elite Premier Plus 10W40. As we all know the booklet states/recommends Elf Ultimate 5W40.

Should I change it?

No I didnt point it out at the time, but did get confirmation of the oil grade. I presumed they knew best...

Do you think its worth a phone call?

May as well I guess. The handbook is pretty specific - no alternative grades are offered. In real life I doubt it would make a lot of difference, but you never know.

It is more than lightly that I will change the oil after a few thousand miles, but might as well get the oil dirty.
