12k Service Cost for a 182

Been quoted £275 by my local Renault dealer which seems a bit steep.

What has everyone else paid?

If it was serviced at a specialist then thats even better than a Reno dealer :cool:

PS I still cant understand why they are MUCH more expensive to service than the Vee :confused:

What about the warranty and resale value though???



Its just had about £500+ worth of warranty work done so thats ok.

Resale i doubt it affects it as im using renault parts.

Bournemouth. I may be wrong but it was deffo nowhere near £200 that i paid!

Olympian Renault in Bournemouth... thats where I got my 12K. They did a good job on my car. :)

My parents are in New Milton - think the Renault dealer there is also Olympian, any idea if they are part of the same group??

Yep, its the same group Karen. I can only talk for the Bournemouth branch tho cos thats the one I went to.

I live in Bournemouth, I rang both garages for my 36k service it was cheaper at Newmilton.

I think I will take my 172 there :)

£118 iirc for our 182s 12k service. Was quoted £180+VAT over phone so dont know what happened there but didnt complain.

John Feltwells in Huntingdon btw.

£118 from main dealer, supplied my own oil and have the ITG filter. Think its about £160, some dealers seem to think they can fleece people and i swear they make the price up as they go along.

Oil, Filter and Air Filter and a splash of ink of a fcukin log book dont equal £275

New laws state that as long as genuine parts are used etc doesnt matter where you go to have it serviced whilst under warranty.

Nice one. Ill ring the New Milton garage for a price when my 24K service time arrives then! :)

£232 all in booked in for 2nd may cant be arsed to take it anywhere else..... asked why prices differ from place to place.... bird behind the counter said its cos they can set their own labour rate what B****cks

Maidenhead isnt far from me either... Is the garage near any shops???

When I commented £275 was a bit pricey, the guy said well if you take it to some backstreet garage you might get it cheaper, and Renault London West charge £100 an hour for labour so we are cheap in comparison...

David - although I dont know where everyone lives who has quoted prices, I do think youre right about it getting cheaper further North.

Had my 12,000 miles service yesterday on the 182. Total cost 120 squids. I guess labour is cheaper where I live ... Madrid, Spain!

£123 all in from Nicholas Smiths in Skipton - tidy (free) courtesy car with lots of petrol in, friendly staff and a fully valeted motor too!

Maybe a bit far for you though Karen :p
