16v vs RS Turbo

  20VT Clio & 9-5 HOT

Found a Escort RS Turbo on my travels today. Both kept in 2nd round the roundabout and he booted it just before I did. I had to slam the breaks on before hitting him up the arse after changing to 3rd. lol. Dump valve sounded nice though!

Got absolutely destroyed by a nutter in a saphire cossie though, he was a right maniac, there was more smoke coming from his tyres on accelleration from this junction and it sounded mint. I didnt have the bottle to overtake to try to follow him as he was driving a bit dangerously!

RSs can be pretty quick if modded, but standards have less power than a valver, and the chassis is nowhere near as capable, so most clios would wup ass... Unless, as described, the other driver is a first class lunatic! :)

nearly shat my self once with a similar experience, FRST oulled out toovertake car in front of him, i pulled out to follow and his car wasnt as quick as i thought it was gonna be lol

Not sure what had been done to it but it had big exhaust and dump valve and looked pretty mint

yes, clio chassi is far better, but you can "mod" a fiesta/escort chassi. In the end, ford engines can rock the world on tuning.
