172 braking problem (any ideas?)

im having problems with my brakes on my 2003 172,the problem is that when i brake coming up to junctions then the abs kicks in gently,at any other speeds then its no problem,i was told that it were the abs rings attached onto the end of the driveshafts that the abs sensors aint picking up the signals due the worn teeth on these rings,is what ive been told correct?

if ya have any ideas then il check them out too.

I'd imgaine your ABS pictup rings or sensor are damages or maybe the rings just arn't secure.

they corrode away after a while.

IIRC new abs rings are £20 odd quid

As a matter of interest, is it all junctions, or just one or two you drive through regularly ?
