172 cup beep????

Hi all, Need a bit of help ive seen videos of 172 cups going round tracks etc etc and noticed that they beep http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImTU0LnNN-A

Mine does not do this is there someyhing i can do to activate it or is it not a feature of my car ????

Im not sure what the sound if drop MarkCup on here a message he might be able to help since its his car in the video.

Might be a relay for the indicators or something.

Don't worry mate it happens to us all when we get to that age:rasp: , and TBF you were not specifically replying to the question about the beep.

The only other persons car on here that i remember beeping is Dubai182's but i think that is a legal requirement for cars to warn you when you go over a certain speed in his country.

Is the warning beeping built into the Renault ECU but turned off for our market?, the reason i ask is i remember someone on here located in the UK having a new ECU but they were complaining there car was now beeping when going over a certain speed.

Yep its a legal requiremtn the Renault clip computer can switch it on and off very easily. Its a funny trick there another few members on here have had it switched on and complained that at speed the warning comes on and you can tell they've been at some speedo for it to come on.
