172 cup dead when starting

Hi when to start the cup an hour ago and it was dead,not like flat battery or left lights on,it was like the immobiliser wasnt unlocking

I then waited a bit sat in car and used the key to lock and unlock and it started,then as i shut the engine off and restarted it was cranking but not firing

Now been out and about and car is fine,immob light is not stuck solid

Any help im clueless of what to check

Immobiliser light go out when you turn the key or is it flashing?

Try disconnecting the batter for half an hour.

Leave the key in the ingnition with ign on for a couple of minutes. turn off, remove key then try starting.

hi it goes out on turning the key flashing as normal without key in,what is strang is i cant always hear the fuel pump priming on position 2

Might be worth changing the key fob battery to eliminate that from the equation.

Nah, can do it yourself. It's one of those round cell batteries.

Either a CR2016 or a CR1220. You'll have to open the key to find out.

Well it's just ruling out an immobiliser issue due to possible low key fob battery voltage at the minute.

What's the car battery voltage like?

hi its a new battery on the car,odd again its starting up fine now but off and on the fuel pump noise is not there every time
