172 cup - how fast in 2nd??

  Ph1 172
Means valve springs, valve retaining caps, and lifters..............essentially the cylinder head mechanicals.............

Ohh the valvetrain I see, well I assume there must be specialist places that sell uprated kits for the clio?

Anyone know any?
These are common mods for alot of Honda tuners I belive?

  53 Clio's & counting
check out GDI would be your best bet,Andy did some development into higher revs, although to be honest you can make decent power with these engines at lower revs so having one that revs higher wont get you any real power

The optimum change light in the Vee is comedy, max power is at 6,000rpm, light comes on at about 7,250rpm heh. Hence I've only seen it about twice. The power having noticeably tailed off by then.

ph 1 172, get to 65 easily if mine is warmed up, if i hit the redline dead on it'll be about 70

Most manufacturers try to gear their cars so they just sneak 60 in 2nd, it's so that only one gear change is required to get there making the 0-60 speeds look as best they can on spec sheets. Doesn't always apply tho
