172 Cup rear dampers....different?

Are the Cups rear dampers different to the Full Fat variants of the 172/182? or is the only difference in springs?

I have been advised the o/s rear shock on my car has a small amount of oil leaking from it.......

Ive got a ph2 172ff that has the rear shocks off a 182 cup on it.
The frount ones wont fit as the bolt spacing is different.

182 cup ones are completely different as you've found.

All 172 dampers are the same mate, i too have shot rear shocks on my cup
