172 Cup Wheel on 182FF

  Clio 182
Tried doing a search but cant seem to answer my question.

If i put 172cup turini's on my 182FF and lowered it (say 25mm) would i need spacers to stop it rubbing or would the 172wheels actually stick out further?

I have heard that the 172wheels rub on a lowered 182, just not sure where and why?

Thanks

Your car has offset ET45

172 Cup wheels are ET38.5

If lowered it'll rub on the inside of the arches

If you want turinis you'll need trophy offset

if i put spacers on the wheels would it not compensate.

the reason i ask is because i have been offered Cup wheels cheap, plus anthracite turinis are a fortune.

My 172 FF had this issue on FK coilovers fitted with Cup Turinis. Issue is now resolved having returned to non cloilovered set up.............running on -30mm springs and uprated shocks. Cup wheels stick out further and rub on the outer edge of the tyre when turning hard'ish.
