172 cup wheels on a 182...Tyre choices?

Hello,

I have a 182 with 172 cup Turini alloys. These have a slightly lower offset so they stick out more. I currently have 195 section tyres on the wheels with no issues at all. If i were to put 205 secton tyres do you think they would rub at all?

has anyone done this?

If suspension is standard, no problem whatsoever.

If lowered though, might have a clearance issue.

It is lowered by about 40mm - do you think i will have issues?

I have 172Cup Turinis on mine with 205s and I dont have an issue with rubbing.

A friend has 172 cup wheels with 205's lowered on Apex springs (35-40mm) and he's not had any issues.

Proline springs...so it is lower...but not drastically so. (20mm or thereabouts)
