how would i go about making my 172, handel like a 182 cup, i already have eibachs and Koni adjustables, and camber bolts...
current wheel setting, 2.5deg neg camber and 1mm total toe out (pointing out)

is there anything that your guys would sugest?

2.5 neg camber sounds a bit extreme, you using it on road or track. Standard is 0.5 neg. I have Koni adjustables with Koni springs and the camber is fixed until I get my camber bolts. I'm guessing mines fixed around 2 neg but will be getting mine set to 1 neg which is what I ran with FK coilovers too.

yea my car is used for road going... i went fro a ride in a 182 today,, and it just felt right... very firm and through the corners it held very very well....
gonna try a few combos and also change all the bushes too.. do you guys reccomend the nolathane type bushes? or standard fine?

ill try to get the camber pulled back as far as i can,, the camber bolts are in the bottom position....... i think...

I'm running Powerflex bushes on the front end. I think the 2.5 neg camber may be the reason for the lack of front end composure on the road, may be ok on track. Renault came to the conclusion that 0.5 neg was correct for the road on the standard set up. Once lowered I think 1 degree neg is about right for fast road use.....worked for me when I had FK's fitted. Just need my camber bolts to get my Koni set up the same.

your toe out is (i think anyway) way too much out.. try neutral once, or like me a tad bit in. Makes a very stable fast-straight line drive, less nervous/twitchy. And 2,5 negative camber ?! wow.. you are flying all over the place when one hand on the wheel, am i right ?

anyway i'm extremely happy with 1,3 negative camber and .3 toe in

arb bushes...???
ive come to the concludion that i need to replace all bushes in the front, i would like to go with some polyurathane,, but from some of what ive heard ill concider the genuine units..
i am also concidering new genuine engine mounts as well,, would you guys sugest any other bushes? mounts that might be concidered changing at that age?

ill have a play with the front end settings...
ill see if i can get 1deg neg camber and neutral toe....

thanks guys!

i run 3 degree of caster, 1mm toe out and 2.7-ve camber

this works great on track! but it eats tyres (from the toe)

for the road i drop to 0.45 toe in and 1.8 -ve camber

cheers for the heads up on the bushes... gonna pull out a few bushes and inspect them to check for wear....
ill get the car realigned,, ive got the camber bolts in the wrong hole i thinks cause the guy was complaining that he couldent get less the 2.5 deg on one side..

ill get it fixed up next weekend when i can get down to the aligner....

Thanks Guys...

I agree. no need for such mental camber unless its a track car. 1.5 neg is more than adequate for road use.

i was reading that the koni yellows give 2deg neg camber with the factory bolts in place..
is 2 deg with neutral toe any good? if not ill get it backed off to 1.5 deg with neutral toe.

Kewl, ive got the allignment done.. but now the car has a miss... i think its a fouled plug.. its down to the shop on thursday,,,
the guy at the shop set both sides to 1deg neg camber and neutral toe..
for the short period that i drove it the car felt good....
thanks guys.....
