172 v 182 track..

Ive been told that the 172's wheelbase is wider than a 182, is this true? Also what is the difference between the suspension setups and what would handle better if both were given to the stig (just an example). Aka he drove both cars what would go round the corner better or nothing really in it?

cups have wider track suspension... 172/182's are the same i believe!?

Think its only the 172 cups or cup packed 182s that have the wider track afaik.

Believe so ^^

Would be very little in it mate. Some prefer the feel of the cups though, less driver aids.

172 have wider track due to the different wheel offset and camber chnage nothing huge though.

182 of all type use a wider track and different offsert wheel.
The phase 1 172 is often agreed to be the most fun setup.
