182 Cup Exhaust Options for the cheap (not paying $2000AU)

Hi Guys

Just wanted to know if simply installing a decat pipe in my 182 would be a benefit (power wise) and if maybe also removing the middle resonator will again benefit power wise.?

It costs way to much to get something from Ktec sent to Australia and after the nightmare I had with my 172 and custom exhausts that are really just sooo noisy (where earplugs to and from track days when interior is removed)

So I am thinking this time round with the 182, leave the 182 manifold, no cat, standard cat back. If really quiet after the decat I am thinking to remove the centre muffler /resonator?

won't you get shot for removing the CAT? The tree huggers in Aus would go barmy! $2000AUD is £1300!! I'd fly over, take you out for a beer AND fit the exhaust for that!

Keep the CAT and remove the centre silencer for a start.

I don't know where you're getting $2000AUD from.

Get a quote from K-tec or ask some people on OZRS what they paid... should be under $1k including shipping.
