182 engine probs,ready to give up

bought a clio 182 4 week ago bg with 50,000 fsh.
was told it needed a new dephaser which with the sound of the engine i new anyway.

but only just had time to look at engine so took the engine cover of and there is oil on top of engine and under the inlet manifold ????on the bottom of the rocker cover

checked the oil coolant all seem fine

am so gutted coz just got full scorpion exhaust wheels powder coated and new tyres best part of a grand already.

spoke to fred as well ova week and am havin all the belts and dephaser done but now i found this and am wondering before i make the long journey to btm if its worth it

help coz really wana keep the car coz its immaculate

it's a common problem, leaks from the bolts/gasket during belt job, it seems many don't reseal/do it properly!

if you've spoke to Fred then you're in good hands already, sounds like nothing to worry about to be honest unless you're losing a ton of oil!

yeah he sounded nice guy and now he gud at his job from the recomondations on here but like i sed the oil like from wot likes the rocker cover worrying just checked oil level seems like its overfilled its way above the mark???

sorry i dont understand? ive only spoke to fred regarding the dephaser pulley cam belt and he was really helpful thats why i decided im taking it to him for the work.

this thread is for advice on the oil leak just wanted advice before i take it to btm any info would be great

The point Tony is trying to make is your posts are a little hard to understand, with the lack punctuation and all. Txt speak does not go down well on here at all.

Oh and to answer the problem its nothing to worry about, it will be sorted as part of the cambelt job.

If its just leaking oil from the cam cover bolts, its not a major problem, and Ole' Freddo will sort it when its in
