182 exhaust on 172

Well my exhaust is blowing a little and ive looked under and some one has bodged repaired this before, it went through the MOT ok, but i want a new exhaust soonish.

Whats the best way of getting a 182 exhaust (not after market if possible) on a 172.

Ive seen the kit from ktec, but theres no way im paying 500 quid for the kit for it.

Anybody else put a 182 zaust on a 172 ?

k-tec is there own exhaust not a 182 exhaust, just looks like a 182.

genuine 182 exhaust wont fit a 172 as it goes thru the spare wheel well.

As Martin said mate and standard 182 exhaust won't fit due to your spare wheel well and the backbox silencers on them.


K Tec or a custom exhasst job is the only way to do it.

Why do you wanna look like a 182 ?

Have you changed your wheels ?

Or still have standard FF ones ?

Is so it'll be a dead give away it aint a 182.

Late reply, but

just like the look, im not after a look of a 182, cos it aint, its a 172, just like the look of the exhuast showing, rather than cutting out a hole for a single exhast.
