182 Front Brakes

  tiTTy & SV650
Had my 24k service today, front brakes are at 70% wear (is that just the pads they mean?)

I find the brakes are nowt like as good as they were when I got the car a couple years ago, a lot of people say similar.

What's the best way to replenish them? Get the discs off and surface skimmed? New pads etc.

are the standard pads good enough or should I look at after market pads? I'm happy if they'll last 24k miles again.

Advice please....

If you drive relatively sensibly the standard pads are more than adequate. If you drive like a nutter all the time look to upgrade. I've just slotted some EBC greenstuff in to the fronts. Still need wearing in so can't comment yet.

Still got the OE pads in mine and they seem pretty good for normal road driving....don't do any track work so will probably go for the same again when they need replacing.

fast road is a good description for my preferred driving lol also doing a track day this year but to be fair its a sprint circuit and more like fast road than anything else.

Don't kin the disk new ones are about £50~60 so its not worth it plus your not supposed to skim them.
Bleed the system as well as that makes a difference.
