182 how low...

Guys can someone with a 182 with cup pack please give me an idea of the height of there car from ground to top of rear wheel arch,or center of wheel to top of rear arch on flat ground without handbrake on to be more accurate,im convinced mine is not as low as it should be.ive done 2000miles in car now so must have settled by now.Im sure the demo i originally took out was lower than mine..other than that i love it,cant stop driving it..

Its only 3mm lower than standard isnt it ?

Wear boots instead of shoes and a thicker jumper and it will lower it more than that !

Its 3mm as said but theres a lot more to it than that.Someone like mr townsend may help but the track is wider and the springs are stiffer than a cup and so on.Someone may have more info.....i just like the look of cars.

think mine looks much lower than it did when i picked it up and only done 1007 miles. average mpg taking it steady of 36MPG both on display and working it out at the pump.

still my drivers side looks lower than passenger side

The Cup versions are 3mm lower but the only changes are the different coloured wheels different springs and dampers I belive. The others stuff was carried though to all other normal 182 models I belive.

It takes a while for suspension to bed in depends how you drive etc my cars noticably lower but it took a while.

I checked the search...found some talk on this topic,but my point is,yes visually my car has all the cup add ons,but do the dampers an springs look any different to non cup 182s..???

Hi Mark, like Tom said theres a fair bit of discussion on this. I put mine (with cup pack) along side a standard one at my dealer and it appeared to be noticeably lower. Oddly enough more than 3mm. I was a bit sceptical about the height before, but not any more!

there should be a yellow and blue coloured sticker on the dampers.

How can 3mm be visually lower ?

3mm is a knats knacker.I have seen two side by side and they looked the same height.

No stickers on the dampers,but the rear springs have a white and a red square painted on them at the top..
