182 Janspeed Fit?

Hi Guys,

Got my Janspeed fitted by KTEC today and when I got back home i searched the forum to confirm how the slash cut version sits at the back, as I had a slight doubt when I first saw it fitted. Mine doesnt seem to stick out at all (see pic links below) and is under the black plastic lip.
Other peoples on the forum ( http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=382300&highlight=janspeed ) seem to stick out and show the janspeed logo (which is what i want really!). Even the image on the KTEc website it seems to stick out ( http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1264&pic=2 )

Just wondered if anyone had any views on how it should sit?

I`ll give the Ktec guys a call on Monday and I`m sure they will sort it out to what it should be.

Its probally where they have pulled one of the sleeve joins too tight together. Will be an easy fix so just give them a call. Stupid that they gave it back to you like that it looks really wrong.
 
How you finding the Janspeed noise wise? Think I'll got for this or the Miltek, only a matter of time before mine drops off
 
just noticed it rattles when idling sometimes!! Those KTEC guys will need to sort this out too!

Apart from the current fit and rattle situation (which will be sorted), the noise is great. Its a nice and quiet system just what i wanted. Noise picks up little when you give it some, but thats cool. Motorway driving is great, cant hear much either. Little rumble when starting, just to let know its there! Loving it.
 
The rear exhaust mounts are adjustable on the body- you'll most likely find they are adjusted all the way forward. That combined with the slip join being inserted too far is most likely the cause of the tips being hidden.
 
Oh, you'll most likely find they'll be sticking out a lot further after you've been for a decent drive. The exhaust metal will expand a lot when it's hot.
 
Mine sticks out a bit not loads. But when hot!! stick out lots more. Exhaust sounds great, not too loud even with decat.

Seeing the KTEC guys tomorrow, to sort the fit out. Hopefully report back some good news tomorrow and get some better pics up.
 
I've fitted on to Has's car and think it should stick out a bit, although as its all sleeved joints and can have it how you want really. They should be able to sort it easily enough, although i'd be dissapointed they've left it like that in the first place as its obviously not right like that imo.
 
Is this a cat-back system? Just curious as to how they fit - is there any cutting of the old system involved, or is it bolted on?
 
yeah a video of this will be good :) i was tempted to get this exhaust but unsure on the sound cause ive never heard it yet
 
I am between this and a milltek, I just hope the scorpion isnt too quiet.

Cant be arsed with loud raspy exhausts!
 
Well im hoping for slightly sportier sound than standard.. but nothing thats so raspy your ears bleed
 
Had mine fitted today,just perfect.Really good fit,matches the cut out's very well.Not too loud just a little burble on tickover and low rev's.
Got them to fit it so it just stick's out from the bumper but there is loads of adjustment on the pipe.

Not an ear bleeder.
 
I have a video if someone can tell me how to post them up on here. its on my phone though so i will have to do it when i get home tomorrow.

They sound really nice imo. Like said not too loud at all in the car but for passers by it just makes the car sound like its actually got some go! The longer it has been on the car the better it sounds too!
 
If you know how to get it off your phone, just upload it to youtube and it will convert it automatically
 
Makes me laugh when its hot it sticks out another inch and you can see Janspeed written on top of the tailpipe.
 
K-tech offers two versions of this Janspeed, Sports (silenced center section) and super sports (straight through center section) Which one you guys using?

I'm tempted to get this system too as the single rear box appeals to me, just not sure which version to order!

Subtle but with a sporty sound is what I'm in need of...
