182 zorst for best future value?

  182 CUP
Hi,
This isnt the usual whats best exhaust post. Just wondering what peoples thoughts were on the future resale of your 182 with a performance exhaust fitted. The current standard 1 is starting to blow, so refitting standard on the sale of the car isnt really an option. Obviously like most people on here I'd love a Yozza/JP, but I'm thinking something a bit tamer like the rs192 might be a better idea. What ya fink?

Rave:)

I have a piper system on mine, looks perfect size wise and isn't too loud but when you're pushing it you know it's not standard, sounds like a motorbike when flat out!

If you are feeling flush there is a system called orbisound i think and they will hold their value, iirc Daniel was selling one not long back

How about this group deal:

Pretty good discount which would help any loses if you decided to sell?

thanks Amos. i did look at this yesterday and will go for it if its the rs192 i decide to go for. The question is though, in the future how would this kind of exhaust affect resale. Would it put people off? attract enthusiasts, would it + or - overall car value? if opinion is a yozza/jp would put people off i'll go for the rs192.

Unless you're selling to an enthusiast you'll put people off no matter what aftermarket exhaust you have, for the pure fact it's aftermarket - even if it's quieter than a baby's bottom.

Hmmmm....thats what I was thinking.

Just get the exhaust that YOU want, if you are planning on selling it soon then IMO don't waste your money at all.

If you feel you'll sell it in a few years, just put up a SWAP for original thread when the time comes, simples.

I agree with whats already been said, get what YOU want dont worry about risidual values or selling on.
If you sell your car on here, it'll likely sell easily with a performance exhaust on. I sold my 182 on here with an RS192 system.

I've had an RS192 system and didn't rate it that highly and changed for a Yozza. The RS192 sounded good with the decat but the poor fitment really annoyed me.

I'd go for the exhaust you really want then when it comes down to selling up just source a standard system?

Right then, better make my mind if I want to get that rs192 deal. Will also have to give JP a ring, seems ktec dont stock them anymore?

I went with the Janspeed system from k-tec. Its really quiet but raspy when climbing the revs.

Its got 2.5 inch tail pipes and looks good.

Can't see there been a problem if I sell the car as you wouldn't be able to tell. :)
