The steering wheel finally went in the car today and I am really pleased with it, I can now add Sparco wheel, Momo boss and custom bracket to the little list of changes, plus just in time to be classed as the last new mod of 2016!

Feels much smaller than standard as you all know at only 330mm but feels great and so far everything works as it should with no lights on the dash. Just need to say a quick thanks to @Dr Jekyll again for some much appreciated guidance in regards to the fitting.

I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking but as its New Year's Eve, HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! :blush:

Nothing more to add at the moment with the car hence the updates have been slow, just been enjoying driving the car on the days here and there I get the chance take it out for a blast/blow the dust off lol!

Yesterday (12th May) was my one year of ownership with the Clio however! Amazing to think I've now had it a year but looking back over this thread it's come a long way in that time and i'm very pleased with the progress to get it how I wanted it. Roll on many more fun miles! :grinning:

Ok, so maybe not so exciting, BUT...... I really like them and should have gone for the Renault Sport ones before really, rather than the 'middle of the road' Renault set. You get what you pay for! Photos just because I could, plus the interior is looking really fresh at the mo!

Yes I did, I 'only' paid £50 where as i'm sure they were £60 ish at Renault? You get what you pay for though, standard!

Small update! I've been in contact with Andy at Engine Dynamics this week in regards to getting the car re-mapped and while it's there, I've decided to get it serviced as well and this will all hopefully be happening in the next month or so, it's just a case of sorting a fixed date that suits all round........ You may recall further back in the thread I had the car re-mapped last year at a local place I've used for years and I 100% trust with my car, but what niggles away at me is that they don't have a rolling road and they are not specialists in these cars. That said, I've never had an issue with it! But with @T9 0LLE getting his car turbo'd at Engine Dynamics and therefore lots of recent related conversation, it's got me thinking i'd really rather have it re-done and properly this time, by specialists, on the rollers, with before and after graphs etc.

I would have been taking the Clio to our local Renault main dealer later in the year to get serviced again but just makes sense to get them to do it at Engine Dynamics while they have it and i'm going for the biggest one they do so I know everything is fresh and renewed and this will include a coolant change and hopefully a new coolant bottle at last to replace the discoloured old thing in my engine bay :smile:

To be honest, with the minimal mods I have and the potential new map it'll have, i'd be really happy if it made 180bhp! But again, it's that it's running ok and as it should be, that's what matters so not too bothered

That's good to know Mark :up: Engine Dynamics seems to have a great rep, so all in all it should be well worth the trip there. With the bottle, i'll probably just get them to supply it to be honest but only mentioned it to Andy in my most recent email this evening so will see what we can arrange.

Exactly mate, this is my basis for *hopefully* seeing 180 but we shall see......... now in theory, it should make that already with the map on the car now but i'm not sure, be a laugh if it makes 170 won't it!! Yes, 100% be interested to see what the first map has or hasn't done! I had it done so quickly after buying the car I wouldn't be able to say if it made a difference or not as hadn't done many miles at that point.

Took @T9 0LLE down to Engine Dynamics today to pick up his 172 (now with added boooost!), good to give the car a good run out on a sunny day and then have a chilled convoy back...... obviously would have been rude not to get a couple of photos!

Had a quick chat with Andy and even though this was Ollie's day, I'm all sorted for getting mine re-mapped and serviced at Engine Dynamics later next month :up:

I used to use photobucket until it went advert crazy. Amateur photographer so iPhone 7 is my weapon of choice.
